I have been thinking about it and there is really no GREAT zombie map. There are good, massing, repetitive & bad zombie maps. But has there ever really been a map that was just jumpin' out of your pants good?
So I would like to maybe get a few ideas in for myself or another to go ahead and create a really good zombie map.
From my end, I was thinking maybe an in-depth Infection System. Whenever you get hurt, which would most likely even be done virtually, such as when a unit gets close to you, an attack must be made fast or you will get hurt. If you do get hurt and you don't get some kind of anti-virus, it builds up over time. Healing would push it down, but that would waste your items mighty quick. Eventually, your unit would turn right by your fellow teamates, who you could actually hide your infection from if you wanted.
Also, implementing the sniping system would be a good idea. You would have to actually attack the enemy units. If you ever take it off the ally, it would put it back on since kicking would be a bit harsh in a survival map.
Well, the idea is to get a new zombie map with some of the systems no one thinks to use in them.
Another idea:
A sort of Sanctuary Zone. You enter this area and everyone is then allied to you. If you try to attack, a preserved Ally trigger would drown it out as well as your vision would be disabled. The only thing you could see is the sanctuary zone, courtesy of a burrowed unit being moved back and forth. This zone would be best used to heal yourself up. Units that were once following you would be issued the Junk Yard Dog command to prevent them from stacking outside.
