When ever im bored i sit down put on some loud music (AFI kicks ass) and play Ikaruga for a few hours... Is any one here as obsesed with that game as i am?

i tryed that but its too hard to do you have to ally the comp and center view your shp and shoot the enenmies

I made an Ikaruga game once. It was nothing like the real game but it was cool. There were black and white enemies, and you could choose between the ikaruga and that other ship with the name that i cant spell, and there were bossed, and it was in 4x speed. lol i made the final boss(the one after stonelike or w/e) a pilon

I was nuts about R-Type until I played Ikaruga. But R-Type just can't compete with the color-switching aspect. And the best part is that Ikaruga feels exactly like an old-school shooter. The good graphics don't detract from the experience in any way.

How is R-Type Final a classic?
Ikaruga introduces a very new element in shooters... color shifting. Strategy... as well as reflexes is required, besides you get to see both horizontally AND vertically which is great.

Personally, i like Ikaruga better. I just love the feel of the whole game. The color shifting aspect is ing awesome. Its been a wile since ive played a game this hard; it took me a week of solid play just to beat easy mode with out getting a game over. plus the graphics are suh-weet, and with no slow down (well in the GC version at least). The only real problem with it is that the multi player is so damned confusing.
EDIT: does any one else think we need a censored smiley that dosent look so angry?

I have only gotten to the beginning of level 4... The boss is just incredibly powerful. 
Then again, I use a cool trick with 2 controllers. I first go through as much as I can with the 1st player, then I switch to the 2nd after I die.
