Now, I usually Don't like to hype up maps because if I don't finish them I end up looking like a dumbass, but since I'm pretty far in this I think I will.

RC Challenge


How To Play


RC (Remote Controlled) Challenge is a unique type of map, instead of controlling the unit yourself, you use a starport to control it, it is sort of like a gamepad,

Valkyrie (Y) = Down
Science Vessel (V) = Up
Battlecruiser (B) = Right
Dropship (D) = Left
Wraith (W) = Switch Between 1st Person and 3rd Person Mode.
There are 3 Modes, Racing, Killfest And Elimination. You use a Hoverbike (Vulture) or Heavy Car (Siege Tank) in each of these Modes. There is a Custom Health Bar at bottom left of map, every time you get hurt You lose Health, once all your health is gone, you lose.

Racing


This mode is pretty Self Explanatory, but there are some things that are different.
-The race track has mines randomly placed throught it, which can make you lose health.
-There is a flag Half-way through the track that can reveal mines once stepped on.
-There are patrolling science vessels you have to cross which can also make you lose health.
First one to finish 4 laps wins this.

Killfest


This mode is a little different, you get to choose between 3,6, and 9 rounds. Pedestrians (Civilians) spawn from the middle and junkyard around the Playing field, you try to run them over with your car, first to 75 kills wins each round. Whoever wins the most rounds, wins this.

Elimination


This is the most famous mode, first of all, this is Last Man Standing, so you have to destroy all the other cars, once your car is destroyed you lose this. You get to choose between Hoverbike (Vulture) and Heavy Car (Siege Tank). The only way to inflict damage, other then the items is to crash into your enemies, Hoverbikes will do less damage to Heavy cars during crashes but are faster. items are Randomly Spread throughout the Playing Field. The Items Are loaded on to a dropship menu when you get them, you unload them on the players beacon you want to use them on.
The items I have thought up of so far are:

Ice Beam: This Item launches a Beam of Ice at whatever unit you attack and takes off 1 square of health.
Sabotage: This item will Slow down whatever unit you use it on.
Freeze This item will freeze the player you use it on for 20 seconds.
Archon Shield This item will create a rotating archon around your vehicle hurting anyone who tries to crash on it, lasts for 40 seconds.
Invincibility: This item will make you invincible to crashes for 20 seconds.
Cannon Ball: This item will launch a cannon ball at your player and take off 2 squares of Health.
Invisibility: This item will make your car invisible to other players for 1 minute.

Thats all I have thought of for this map so far, as of now I'm about 70% done, I did the first 2 modes, and finished about 20% of Elimination. I will post some more Screenies and a playable demo soon biggrin.gif .

1st Person mode = Always Center view on your car.
3rd Person mode = Lets you look around map.

that screenshot doesn't show anything..the idea seems weird..silent is fat = this map looks cool/weird/fat i mean ya

will goin left and right be relative to the way the car is facing or just like left is left and right is right

and no reverse?

I'm pretty sure I can make it Relative, also, reverse would just be the opposite of where you are going already.

Simple, It is owned by a computer player. That way you cannot control it whatsoever.

That would definately make things alot more difficult for me, and I would have to start all over again, so I doubt it, this works out just fine for me anyway.

I have been wanting to make a map using the UP, Down , left, movement only thingy, although I'd have used a dropship. I can't believe I never thought of a racing game, damnit. Oh well, this game sounds cool
