protoss cause its the most powerful and since all races have same supply then the same amount of protoss units vs terran or zerg will win

actually if ya think about it protoss would take more food then the rest zlot=2 marine=1 zergling=1 firebat=1 dragoon=2 hydralisk=1 mualisk=2 or 3 w/e wraith =2 scout=3 and so on from there

Well, you can't say any single race is the best race, different people are better with different races, if there was a single best race, wouldn't everyone just use that race?

It's a balanced game, and there's a counter to everything. Not one strategy is invincible. That's why there is no best player.

Protoss units are the strongest, but they cost more and take up more psi.
2 zerglings take up 1 control and cost only 50. 1 zealot costs 100 and takes 2 psi, but a zealot can kill many zerglings.
A carrier with 8 interceptors costs a total of 600 minerals and 350 (i think)
If your playing on a money map protoss are the obvious choice. If you have a unlimited amount of resources you should pick the race with the best units.
I think zerg are the best, they have cheap units and you always have detectors around. I use zerglings, spore colonies and....err thats all i use
I could be wrong, my melee record is like 30-80 lol

The hardest Strategie game: All is balanced, it's all about your skill. If you get attack by "Y" there a "x" that can stop Him! The best: COmbo! marine, bats, ghost, medic and some air-units...

funny how no1 even talked about terran....they suck tho well lets c if you can pump marines out fast enuf with some medics and rush them youll most likely kill them unless if theyre protosss with their 4-6 zealots

10 marines+2 medics < 5 goons which is usually what they will have by then (+range of course)

There IS no "best race"; thats why this is such a good game. Its balanced so that you can pick a race, and go with a combo, and anyone could list more than a few counters to it. Even tougher when actually playing ingame.

It's not really which race is best, but which race you're best with. For me, it's Terran because that's the first race I played with in the original campaign, and therefore the one I am most used to.

This has already been said probably, but blizzard did a perfect job of balancing the races (Or indistinguishably close to perfect job.) However, Protoss are somewhat overbalanced on a money-map.

and Lego is quick but weak
