You know when you place an interceptor or scarab for player 14 in a map and you have to actually click on the unit to attack him? Well couldn't you make that into a defence, you have a siege tank and you have to target the units yourself and blast em away?

you don't have to click on fast speed, use the attack command, if you want them to stay in the same place and defend, use patrol

Siege tanks can't patrol when sieged, so you would have to target stuff to shoot it.
I think it would work but i dont like the idea.
By the way defense is not spelled with a 'C'
lol kenoli i hate that too when people spell it 'defence' bc it is very annoying. also, i was thinking, the ultimate defenSe would be medic D, u have a medic and allied injured units, when you go to heal they die, and you have to do that to win. i just thought that it was funny bc of the contradiction

Err. Have HP detection and the "enemies" are allies and when they are fully healed, they die?
And how exactly will you know when the enemy unit has full HP?
i was thinking that you should center a location on the medic and then when it goes near a unit, u kill all units for the computer at that loc. it would be best executed with hyper triggers.

Then why not make a wall of medics, and every unit that touches the medics will die... Or will there only be 1 medic?
1 medic, then auxilary units with special effects
science vessel (irradiate)
defiler (slow down thing)
etc
what else are some good units to put into the map?
Why not make like Slow defense. You can get several untis that slow the enemy Ghosts, Queeens and arbiters
Heh, make a defense map where you dont actually hurt the enemy runners, you just use special abilities to slow them down, and if they get to the finish line too fast you lose. ;D

Hmm. to make it more precise , you have allied comp units running to the goal or something and you have to try and heal them all (to kill them) before they get there. Ps. im in ze U.K. so

I dont like having to lock your enemies; I played that in Snipers Lock-Only and that totally ruined the experience for that map. I dunno, it might work for defense maps, but unless its like locking down multiple enemies, it wont be as fun.
Queen Defence? You can use the Queen's abilities to defeat the enemies.

You could spawn Broodlings on enemies and have the broodlings stop Reavers or something...
a queen def coudl be could. if an attack consisted of two unit types: mechanical and organice, u broodling the mechs and then you use ur broods to defend. it would prevent the game from getting stalemated...
