Okay, so yesterday I am laying down thinking about all the fun defence games I had been playing on SC. That's when I got the strangest idea, make a defence map that is so odd and unexplainible that people would not understand why I would make it (Like everything else...). Anyway, I came up with this idea where you build Supply Depots in a small encased area, and then a trigger deletes them and creates a bunker at an area you want. Next, enemies come down the line that your suppost to be defending and when they get in the range near the bunker, it EXPLODES! All the enemies in a range die, and the game continues.
The game gets more and more odd from there. Next, you have lives, and everytime an enemy makes it through your defence, your lives get attacked, and they have to kill the enemy to stop it.
Also, cloaked enemies will not cause bunkers to explode unless your get a special upgrade for the bunkers. Same thing with Air!
Next, this game is a red vs blue team game, or 3v3. This means it is until one team forfits or dies!
If you have any suggestions on how I could possibly make this map more FUBAR, please tell....
PS- FUBAR means Fu(ked Up Beyond All Recognition....I think...

Well this is different but if you want more Fubar add in some random crap and maybe sounds if not too big. Those are really Fubar

If you want Fubar, have it be every 5 enemies that spawn, you lose 1 life, every time an enemy reaches the end you earn a life, and you have to try not to reach 100 lives.
That'll REALLY screw people up.
The term "Fubar" is most commonly known from the movie "Saving Private Ryan". This sounds like a great map with a great title. How about incorporating some aspects of "Medic Defense" into this map?

FUBAR is an acronym for "F***ed Up Beyond All Recogntion." A more sanitized version of this phrase is "Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition." LOL! At least I am getting some recognition this time! No, this is not a small joke...but more of a personal one from where I come from. I will make it, but I've been thinking about it.
First, I don't want it to be you loose a life, because this is already odd enough. Adding things like this will not FUBAR it, but make it a POSBAR...which just plain sucks!
What I was thinking was you can buy a medic that runs around, but instead of healing it kills. Also, lurkers that fire spikes above ground. Odd little things like that where I burry a lurker and where one lurker moves the other one does, causing the top lurker to look like he is fighting from above....
I'd like to do something with lava, but it would be harder...
If you hate some of my ideas, tell me, because I want to see what would make the best FUBAR game with the oddest stuff...Who knows, maybe I will do reverse life...were when enemies get through you get lives and getting lives is bad... Actually, that's not half bad...and like every minute I take one away... Still needs work...
Here are the weapons I have decided on so far! They are in the order of cost, so which costs more type of thing...Pretty much everything is done with explosions. One last note, I don't know how much each one will cost for a while! The only one I do know is the first one, which is free! I am always open for ideas...
SCV: you can move your building scv onto the field, where it explodes and kills everything around it.
Train: An explosive train runs around in a small circle...
Feather: I'm gonna make explosives look like feathers dropping, which should look pretty cool
Exploding Bunker: A bunker (Off to the side to not slow things down) explodes and everything in a range dies!
Medics: A bunch of insane medics run down the field and kill everything
All except the SCV and the Medics are chance, so that should help them get through. Also, don't forget that you need to power these up for invisible and flying...and underground...

How are you going to make medics kill things?
I like the ideas and i understand that there fubar but are there going to be normal towers??? that just plain ol shoot stuff instead of blowing themselves up
The Explody Blocky Dealy:
It, in itself, is harmless, what it does is it creates extremely rapid explosions of some unit(say, Dark aRchon). You can buy a batch of 10 of these, and place them in a narrow coridor with Stacked Quintiple Cannons on the side or something.
The explosions get in the way of the enemies, slowing them down, making the cannosn MUCH more effective.

Okay, medics killing is easy. I make it that medics are created at a certain area, then they walk across. As they walk, a trigger kills everything they run into...Thus, giving us a killing medic...or I could just modify SC to make it attack...
I don't want to have any actual normal defence killing in the game, because we have all seen that before and all the newbs would head for that. Nice Idea with the cannon, but I think I can make that a bit better. Instead of making it that the explosions slow them down, I think I will make it that a vortex makes them come back, then cannons fire... Now for an interesting name....
Money Generator: This one isn't exactly a weapon, but people will find it hard to get minerals in my game, so they may end up building one of these. These "money generators" let the units pass, but give you 1 minerals fore each one...
Laser Gun: Okay, this one just sends off a stream of explosions that do a 1 hit kill, but there is a difference from everything else! THEY ALWAYS WORK!
Both of those do not blow up after one use, like all the others...

I think I'm gonna add in some random units to screw things up, like birds that just run around and can cause lasers to activate....and lasers have a downtime to recharge....
Just more new stuff hereBomber: Okay, this is a flying unit (Obviously) that runs around without your control and drops bombs whenever it feels like it! The best part is, it could bomb you own units and destroy them! MUHAHAHHA
Here are some of the items to help the playersDeath: now with EzDay2's idea in, you have to spend some money to kill your lives, otherwise you loose.... At all times you can't have less than 1 life or more than 10! IF you have less than one, you die! If you have more than 10, your heart explodes!
Invisible Eye: allows you to use your weapons on invisible units
Airial Aim: allows you to use your weapons on air units
Slow Motion Tracker: some units move too slow for your guns to pick up any idea that they are there, so they can still pass. This lets your guns find them and kill them.
Fast Motion Tracker: Same as above, except fast....
30 seconds Peace: Since the game is a non-stop battle to survive (I was hoping that would make it harder...), this WILL come handy! It gives players 30 seconds without a monster, allowing them to build and rebuild....
now, as I said above, this is a team defence game... so, what would make it more interesting that allowing players to select units to attack, after they get the training, of course. Here is a list of all the units you can get, which should be obviouse...
- Normal (Costs nothing!!): Just a marine
- Slow Moving- A reever
- Fast Moving- The zergling, of course
- Air unit- wraith...for now
- Invisible- If you don't know this is a DT, then maybe you should sit this game out...
Another part to the game is that you have to upgrade to make more appear and try and get across. This means you could let your enemies have the first bit easy, then get zergling (And not select them) and then get 5x more units coming out that the begining amount! Turn zerglings on, and POW, a hard blow and they are dead....
Still trying to FUBAR things up a bit...
for the bombber, are you going to use a dropship and drop diff levels of weapons (cluster, napalm, a-bomb...) that would be cool. pick you weapon and then deliver it.
Ack im FUBARinated!!! Hmm how about the grabby hand, reaches out to your enemy sticks into there pockets and takes 1/4 of there money to boot.
