Do you need to preserve the triggers for AI scripts? Mine don't seem to work. sad.gif

Just telling them to 'execute AI Script 'zerg custom level' at '1'' They seem to stop after a while.

I can get them to build drones and overlords, but then they don't build anything after that. <_<

Don't use custom level or area town if you want them to do anything.

I tried using the campaign setting, but they still don't build anything besides drones and overlords.

Then you are doing something wrong. Send me your map via email or otherwise so I can see what you aren't/are doing.

Oh, sorry. Apparently these forums don't have "mailto". (which is good and bad tongue.gif)

You check the staff page, or: Chuiu@cox.net.

You don't necessarily need the preserve trigger running.. The comp recieves the command to start an AI Script and therefore continues and lives out the script automatically.. The preserve trigger is probably overriding it.. consistently telling the comp the same AI causing it to negate the original effect.

Yes, telling it to preserve trigger will make the computer act like a 8 year old who can't use a mouse. tongue.gif

Ai Scripting:

If a computer is told to run an Ai, it doesn't check to see if it works. It just follows what it is told, to the best of its abilities, or like a passive resisting working, dumbly following orders...Therefore if Preserve Trigger is on an Ai Script, it will keep trying to run each Ai Script, all of them, all infinite of them...But it won't work like your trigger system (IE DO THE FIRST ONE COMPLETE, THEN A LITTLE OF THE NEXT, SO FORTH...) Nop, it will do the first bit of all infinite of them...Thats why Preserve trigger ####s with it...

If it is required in other trigger systems, give it a Switch, and use that to turn it on...and reset it(thats wat turning it off and back on would do...)

And I have an older version of staredit too. That probably doesn't help too much...
