Can anybody tell me how to amke sprites? I read the map making tricvk thing but I dont really get it. Can anyone explaine in a easier way? Ohh yeah how do you make the "Current map project" bar that tell ppl what map you are working on.

You can't make sprites, but if you download StarForge or SCMDraft you can place sprites that you normally wouldn't be able to place in the normal editor.
For the Current Map Project bar, click HERE

Sprites are just images and don't act like the real thing.

Thats what everyone says...
Unit Sprites are sprites placed as units (with a few minor differences) and pure sprites are pictures.
For starforge go to layer>sprites.
My favorite sprite is the soft drink.

Using Starforge I got to the spirtes section a long time ago and you need to put in number. Confused

im not sure since sf isn't on right now nor can i access it but sprites should be under the sprite thingy everybody is talking about. then on the left side click on some 'folders' or 'sections' and look for the one you want. when you find it, click on it's name and place it on the screen. whala. 
EDIT 1: if the number is on the top-middle and it usually says 1, that is the player the sprite is being placed for
P.S. in a tutorial it says sf makes sprites take up space while SCMDraft doesn't... oh well

You can only put the sprites Starforge gives you unless you start modding.
