That means that the map is PROTECTED and cannot be edited at all. It's to keep people from messing around with your map.

That and the fact that people don't like it when they erase the makers name and then the person who modified it "IF" they even modify it put there name saying they made it...A good example is what scorpion did. Bad scorp... angry.gif

You don't have to dis yourself for being a "n00bie" and remember this.

good idea cause, the prob with an UNprotector.....ppl will change names cause they are too much of newbs to make their own map, or the good thing is to modify to make it better u just dont kno these days.
i mean they can be all "nice" to get it but their real plan is to steal the map agent.gif then the maker will be pissed off ranting.gif and u will regret giving it out pinch.gif cause they worked so hard on it

thats a terrible reason. if you have a question, ask here or if you want to figure it out, then try that way.

Kouga we can figure out most everything together on this forum, you don't need to resort to Unprotecting, even if your intentions are harmless.

But i like stealing there triggers thats how i learned how to use the editors.

People protect their maps because...they don't want noobs stealing their maps..obviously. And it IS possible to get triggers from a map w/o unprotecting it....

i just use there triggers so i know how to do there triggers.thats why i steal triggers

The only reason you should unprotect maps is if you have permission from the original creator to eidt it or to just take a look at the triggers etc. to help on your own map, NEVER to steal it's sounds and all.

you can simply ask people here for help. I pretty sure nobody will look down on anybody. Some people know more than others, and sometimes know less.

People want to protect their maps so it wont be fiddled with. You could make a good rpg game, then somebody changed it so only 1 person is uber and then...the map will suck.
