I think The Master Chief from halo is cool. You just cant help but like that MJOLNIR armor and that game was awesome too.

I like Metal 
As in Metal Sonic from Sonic and Knuckles, how you forget the sonic series anyways? Sonic beats Mario's flabby rear any day. My main complaint is that Metal Sonic gets way underpowered, he should rip them a new one.
Eggman is amusing as well.

Kyle Kataarn, from the old Dark Forces on PC. It came out like '94, so I think it qualifies as old enough. Oh yeah, it was like one of the first first person shooters, and I still love it. Great game!

Oh yeah, how could I forget Kyle. I remember the first Dark forces was one of the first FPS's I ever played. The first time I ever actually "got to know" Kyle really well is in DF2: Jedi Knight. Through those crappy, sometimes funny cutscenes.
