[center]Aliens: Lost
Story
You and four of your comrades are in the United States Colonial Marine and are sent to the colony 114 on a distant planet to find out why communications have stopped, but while in orbit there is a critical error with the engines forcing the ship t crash land a mear mile from the colony. After working you way to the colony their leadertells you about recent incidents in the nearby mine including several miners missing and strange creatures seen outside the walls after dark. You then go into the mines looking for answers, but you soon find out more than you want to.
Gameplay
There will be 4 choices as to who you want to be, Pulse Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Medic, and FlameThrower . Each hero will have a number of special abilities that will take up items that will be held in each person's inventory, also the heroes will not have shared vision and at several parts they will be split up depending on which hero they are, such as the person in the lead will be seperated due to a cave in in the begining, or a duct sealing system will activate due to xenomorph activity in the area, so there will be multiple ways to win and multiple ways to lose.

Okay I have some suggestions.
  • United Earth Corp should be USCM (United States Colonial Marines)
  • The colony, or the planet should be called LV-114
  • Smart Gunner > Smart Gun
  • Spell Caster > Medic
  • Flamer > Flame Thrower
  • I think you should get rid of the Dark Templar and Zealot and replace with possibly a Shotgun or Handgun.

What type of RPG system are you using? Health regenerating / slow upgrades / unit upgrades or what? Have you tried to make it so it isn't smurfed for certain players!

Thanks Xeno I'll probably use these ideas, The only reason I had Zealot/Dark Templar was because I couldn't think of any more names for the human heros at the time. I also think Medic will fit with the timeframe better than Spellcaster.

Yes it will be very hard for you to get this map in it's unfinished stages, I have several little brothers who would be more than happy to test my map and tell me problems so most of the time I will be using them up until the beta testing.

I will probably have it so that you can upgrade your units after a certain amount of kills and maybe have a total unit upgrade also.

an ez special ability would be a grenade toss, and maybe a smoke grenade too.

Instead of having their name as what weapon they use howabout you have the marine's name as:
Marine [Pulse Rifle]

The firebat's name could be maybe:
Marine [Plasma Flame Rifle]
(in the real sc game, the weapon is actually plasma flame thrower, and besides, Plasma Flame Rifle sounds really cool.)

The names are fine, i just thought the above names would give it alittle bit more apeal to the player, if the names dont make sense or there is horrid spelling beyond beleif, it makes the player really wonder about the maker instead of the game.


Also, please make the aliens names realistic.
please dont use all the names from the comic books, the comic books for anything are way too farfetched.

Xeno can correct me if im wrong:

the chest burster either grows to be a warrior alien or a drone alien.
from what ive seen usually the drone is the ling, the warrior is the hydra.
*note: sometimes the hydra is the mantis alien (i dont know how it all works in the comics, but ive read all the books i could get my hands on)

I'm not really sure how it works either, I just got into the alien series about a year ago and aliens books are hard to find. My mom has a few of them in my garage but all I've been able to find so far are "Beserker", "Hunters Planet" (aliens Versus Predator) and "Prey (aliens Versus Predator), i'm sure there are at least three more out there but I cant find them, also i havent really checked the library (dont go there very often).

I liked this idea and was planning on making the medic be able to throw a grenade (science Vessel) but it would detonate after a few seconds and damage all that is near it (including the humans) to make it more realistic.

Im planing on using predators in the story as a reason that the aliens got onto the planet, they seeded it in their tribal/warlike conquests.

Marine [WEAPON NAME] is my system! ...That I stole from Panzer_Kavalier...

Here are some generic classes of alien.
  • Face Hugger - Broodling
  • Warrior - Zergling
  • Runner - Devouring One
  • Praetorian - Hydralisk
  • Queen - Ultralisk
That's my class system in my alien games.

Also chest bursters can really grow into... all sorts of things it depends on the host.

By the way I currently have 17 aliens comics and 9 aliens and predator books.

How about this?

Marine: [same as before]
Medic: [same as before]
Firebat: [same as before]
Ghost: Shotgun
Raynor: [same as before]
Stukov: Scope Rifle

You could also use Kerrigan or Duran for the Scope Rifle and save Stukov for a special unit (maybe the camp leader).

Also, it may seem like a dumb idea, but how about having a few Predators make a cameo somewhere in your map?


P.S.- I'm familiar with the other types of Xenomorphs, but what is a Praetorian?

its a queens guard a specil eliet type of alien kinda like a predalien

very strong resists alot of weapons


smart gunns,pulse rifles


ya thats what i di xeno i stole it from it to tongue.gif all ways use it like in call of duty etc.

I don't have the comic books You guys are lucky to have those. Lmao My parents don't trust me like they use to! Lmao I kept liying about my School grades. I hidden alot of stuff from them. Thats only 1 out of 204 Lies. Lmao I Their the only people I lie to! Lmao.

How will Face Huggers work in this map? Will they just attack, or do they actually face-hug you (disappear when they get next to you, and a short while later, you die and a new Xenomorph appears)? I actually know of a map that uses that latter mechanic. I think it's available at MutilatedPuppet's website.

Sorry I was off Topic! pokey.gif Well try to do this way. Make about a # of Locataions on each Player. When a Facehugger comes in then make a little area to create an Chesburster. Then put about 1 to 2 mins countdown then make it so the Player gets kiled and creates an Chestburster! That mine work!

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I even think I have the triggers to do it. I'm just using the Pulse Rifle for an example; I'm too lazy to do the others. Hyper triggers may be needed.

- Center location labeled 'FaceHuggerArea' on Pulse Rifle owned by Current player at 'Anywhere'.
- Preserve trigger.

- Wait for 60000 milliseconds.
- Kill all Pulse Rifle for Current player.
- Create 1 Chest Burster for Player 8 at 'FaceHuggerArea'.
- Clear 'Switch 1'.
- End scenario in defeat for current player.
