I recently installed scmdraft2 and i put it as my default map opener. I couldn't really get a hold of where i put it so i just deleted al the install folders but i cant find it in add or remove programs. I also have sc x-tra editor 1.5 and 1.6 . Does anyone know how to switch all my maps and make them all default open to sc x-tra editor 1.5??? or 1.6???
MY comp freeze's for like 5 sec whenever i try to open a map now and it still wont show anything so If you could tell me how to make all my maps default open to sc x-tra editor then that would help a lot.
Um... SCXE 1.5/1.6? Try getting one of the newer versions (2.5/2.6) from the download section.
Then to open it with SCXE right click a map and go to Open With... Choose Program.. and Check the box that says 'Always use this program to open these files' Then scroll down and pick one of the SCXE modes to default open with...
i think you do "open with" then there should be like a choose program thing to click on. then below all of the list of programs is a box with the sentence "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" click on the box to mark a check and choose your sc xtra.exe
Did you install scmdraft 2, or did you just move the files into a folder? You have to install it for scmdraft 2 to be in the programs....to make a map open with scxe just right click on one map and select "open with"
is there a way to do that for all the maps at once or do i have to go to each map folder and do it manually?
Try just running a SCXE module, then closing it. It worked ok on my comp.
Try reinstalling SCXE. (I don't know if that helps)
I recommend using SCXE start center to lauch a SCXE module and then opening maps using "Open..." command from inside SCXE
You just do it for each type of *.* such as do it to a *.scm and a *.scx and thats it!
