Runtime Error '5'
With as much as you see it, I'm sure you know the rest of it, and are quite irritated with me at this point, but my problem wasn't solved by previous threads.
I get this error, you all know what it does and what it looks like, I've seen it on the forums several times in my searches this past couple hours. I learned in the other threads that StarDraft uses the StarCraft directory for references, and I have SC installed on my computer, yet I continue to get the message.

Starcraft default directory: C:\Program Files\Starcraft\
Starcraft directory on my computer: D:\Programs\Starcraft\ (D: is not a CD drive on my computer).

I was wondering if it could be a location problem. And if so, is there any way around it? (Other than relocating my SC directory). Perhaps there is a way to change the location where SD attempts to find the SC directory...

Thanks in advance and apologies for bringing this topic up AGAIN.

lol... StarFORGE! I used to have stardraft once upon a time... and I mix things up easily...
I had already done the search on the problem and found the threads on RTE5, but they said that it means that I don't have SC installed, which I do...

Maybe you loaded it AFTER you put StarForge into your system, do you have all the correct files for StarForge.

Incase you get really annoyed, uninstall all of StarForge, then Uninstall and Reinstall all of Starcraft, with updates, then go to this site's Download Page, find StarForge with all its required extras and download it. That should work.

Okay, I'll try that out and let you know how it turns out. Thanks!

I reinstalled SC (even in the default directory this time!), and I also downloaded and installed the required files for SF, and SF, and for some reason, it still doesn't want to work...

OH WOW! It would seem that I can't run SF w/o system administrator capabilities! It give me the error for some unknown reason when I don't have the administrator abilities... but when I do have them, it works perfectly! Seems strange to me... blink.gif
