And what really bothers me is that the pop up comes up and when i close it it doesn't allow me to do any options except open map and map colours which seemed like i haven't opened a map yet at all. And after all that, I try and open the map - It still isn't protected. However - when i randomly type in a name that doesn't exist in the "open map" window - it made it like it works with all the protect thing options available. Please someone, Clokr_, Yoshi, Bolt, Tux or someone who knows how to use Proedit, I really need your help in this. I am desperate to use this program.

That should only happen if the map is already protected/corrupted. You can't open a protected map with proedit. If the map wasnt protected try to open one of blizzard's maps. Does it work?
