Ok, here i'm working on a map called 'Mind Control Snipers'

Problem:

- K you start with 1 Dark Archon, when you MC a enemy Dark Archon are you able to make it kill the dark archon you MC'ed because sometimes it kills the DA you start off with? no matter where you or he is on the map is it possible to kill the one needed to be killed no metter where?

Well you could try centering a location on your dark archon that's the size of the range of mind control. So when an enemy comes in that range have a small location center on it. Now you could say when you own 1 dark archon at the samll location it kills the dark archon there, only thing is the small location would uncenter once the other player doesn't have the dark archon there.

YOu could just kill one of them and have the one left over be the dark archon you use.

I think he wants it so that you start with one dark archon, and when you mc another dark archon, it dies. You would need hyper triggers then you could do this

¤ Center Location 1 Dark Archon on dark Archon owned by Current Player at location anywhere
¤ Preserve Trigger

¤ Kill all Dark Archon for current player
¤ Give 1 Dark Archon owned by P8 at 1 Dark Archon to Current Player
¤ Preserve Trigger


That should work. Make sure you put the triggers in that order.

Vindexus but if the other dark archon is the left most, or the first one the trigger finds, it'll give that one to player 8 instead and kill the one you were using.

Just make the location 1x1, then the chances of that are slimmer. And if it happens, your new Dark Archon won't be too far away. NEW TRIGGER CODE RULES!!!! I see you somehow managed to get past the "Check in a few hours" page as well.

And another thing I just noticed, not sure it would actually happen though, and you could fix it by putting the first trigger first in the list. But if the location tries to center on a dark archon at anywhere when P8 owns it, then it'll end up in the center of teh map and screw things up, but if the triggers are in that order there shouldn't be a problem.

THat check in a few hours page was up for a bit, so I went on b.net, came back and I found v4, yay! biggrin.gif

Not the way your trying, the thing is starcraft will do the actions on the first unit that fills the requirements it finds, it looks from left to right in a location so the left most unit will be given to P8 and then the next one will be removed.

dw, that map is not at all what he wants to do.

this actually might work better
it prevents the first archon from being deleted because of the timing
if the timing is perfect and it centers the moment u mc the other achon, it will delete ur first archon wont it?

If the first DA was allowed to be invincible, use set hp and shields to 0 instaed of kill.

Vindexus, you realize that your dark archon dies if you're to the right of the one you're mind controlling. I tried it trust me.

BUt as long as you don't mind sometimes becoming the other da then use Vindexus's triggers.

EDIT: DT you can't kill things by setting their hp to 0%, it only goes down to 1 health when you do that.

The thing Vindexus's has a problem with is that the triggers are in the wrong order. It needs the "kill" trigger to run on the previous location, I assume its not able to walk out of it in 1 repeat of hyper triggers, so it will still be there, it will kill all others then center the location again.

I have another idea, it seems flawless to me. Wish i knew how to use the trigger box but i dont so ill give in old style. disgust.gif

Always-
Center 1x1 location(current DA) on DA owned by player w/e
Center (range of MC) location(New DA) on DA owned by player w/e
Preserve Trigger.

Player Controls at least 2 dark archons-
Move 1 DA player controls at "current DA" to somewhere away from field.
Kill all DA owned by player w/e at "New DA"
Move all DA at "somewhere away from the field" to "current DA"
Preserve Trigger.

That should work, because it will kill the newly mc'ed DA's and quickly put your old dark archon back to the original area. Good luck, but you may encounter problems if they are too close or in the same area. Should be less foolproof though anyway.

just do for action kill 1 da for current player at anywhere but make a location that always follows the da and using that do (condition) current player commands 2 da's... never (action) kill da for current playerr at location blah blah blah

He is spamming at about 2 posts a minute and there were no mods on. I reported 2 of his posts and am trying to get him to stop by himself. Isn't working though, so I guess I'm going to give up and wait.

Have a location that centers on all da in location da, and have it 1 matrix square. if you have hyper trigs, it can't escape the location. The kill all da for that player not in the location.

Center a location on that unit an run the kill trigger or use Kill 1 'unit' at anywhere for 'whatever player'.
