Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Crashing SC
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Paella on 2004-08-30 at 17:42:52
Why is it that certain units, Hydralisks, High Templars for example, "sometimes" crash SC. When i was trying to make a cloaked Hydralisk for a new map I thought that it might crash because it was only recently placed on the map (the trigger created it) so I made the trigger wait a little and I disabled Hyper triggers. This worked for me in single player, but when I tested this new theory on B.Net I saw the desktop very quickly.

So what I want to know is: is there a way to prevent crashing SC while claokign certain units? I'm praying to Deathknight and SWW right now...

For somethings you must disable/enable/enable to prevent crashing others just don't work no matter what.

While using disable/enable/enable you can't look at the unit or else you will crash. Once you did that you'll have to move the unit because you won't be able see the area where you disabled and enabled the unit at.

Some units can be cloaked by disabling and some can be cloaked using disable enable enable but I'm sure there's some units that can't be cloaked/disabled

Im pretty sure its
null
Trigger
Players:
¤ Player X
Conditions:
¤ Conditions
Actions:
¤ Disable (unit) at (location) for player (x)
¤ Wait 111
¤ Enable (unit) at (location) owned by player (X)
¤ Wait 111
¤ Enable (unit) at (location) owned by player (X)
¤ Order (unit) to move to (location)
¤ Move/Teleport (unit) owned by player (x) at (location) to (location)

maybe a wait after the second enable too not sure

What's up with ordering the unit to move? I know you have to do it for it to work, but does anyone know why?

You know the map tricks archive isn't fixed yet, right? I meant if someone who knew came along before it was fixed.
