Earlier this afternoon we (Orlando, FL) had one of the worst lightning storms I've ever experienced. If some of you don't know, Central Florida is the lightning capital of the WORLD (not just the US). Which means lightning is frequent and very destructive. Today was not just any normal T-Storm, oh no... What we were about to experience was far more than that.
Lightning was litterly all around the house. Coming straight down and hitting random things. It was so loud and so bright, it'd make you're head spin. I swear it was making my heart skip a beat or two. And what was even scarier was it was very frequent. There wasn't much break before the next montrous bolt came down and reaked havoc.
Anyways, I ended up falling asleep cause I had be up the night before. The storm was still going on after about an hour which was relatively long. Then in like an hour or so, I wake up to my mom screaming at me to find the flashlight because the power had gone out from the storm. By then... The storm was over. I quickly then went back to sleep considering this sucks, I still have nothing to do... So I wake up at about 8:20 and its pitch black in the house but with 1 candlelight. Got a little note from my parents saying they went to go get some food.
So I'm walkin around in the dark with the flashlight and all of a sudden *BAM* the power comes on in full force... Scared the hell out of me might I add.
And now, I'm hearing that Hurricane Frances, a potential CATEGORY 5 is headed right for Orlando, and nothing is stopping its path. If that's the case I seriously think there will be some damage to the house and I might not be on for a while. This is some scary stuff, should be quiet an experience.
Cliff Notes:
-Went through a very bad lightning storm.
-Fell asleep numerous times.
-Power went out from it.
-Hurricane Frances is coming.
