So I created some forums a while ago, and people used them for a bit and then it died. I'm trying to resurrect it, and I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on what to do differently.

I know what you mean, i hade over 800+ posts and 32 people on my forum, then i switched my site, now i only got 10 and there all dead....

Maybe make a "Work Showcase" for everything, instead of just one category. And chat about Photography, Illistry, Writing, in other words works of art chat. Then have a "Lounge" category where there's general chat, introductions, and make the garbage forum un-seeable because that's where garbage is moved. Those are my suggetions, if you need anymore check out the Documentations on IFSZ.

Why not put the phycaiatrists couch, forum games, and other things in that area into a sub-forum in the Off Topic zone, and make a news forum or updates forum at the top.

The color scheme will probably change to grey, but it definatly will not be red for much longer. I just need to finish taking a few graphics my friend is letting me use for it to be done...I don't think I could make a skin like deviantart's though it would be fun to try...something along those lines, yes

well, right now no DUH. The banner that is up right now I did in MSPaint, as you can tell from the blurry ness of it. Next one should be better...

skin: I'm changing the skin anyways and the buttons, probably to blacks and greys, and maybe a bit of color here and there...I chose the other colors cause it was the best matching colors I could find on paint
