Heres my idea:
I'm planning to have the news export from the staredit.net news forum, and theres something I just realized we can do!
How does everyone like the idea of a user sumbitting ability? It requires a moderator preview, but if this works, YOU will have your name on the main page (with your avatar) with the news item!
Questions? Vote? Comments?

I think you should do it, such as lets say a member has some "top sercret" news that only he knows and none of the staff do. That person should be able to to submit it, with their own name on it so everyone knows who it found out.
Overall: Sounds like a good idea.

It is a good idea. But any moderator can put up the news that is the first to check it?

Yes, Kudos to new user support system.. Like DT says, it would be some sort of internet democracy and more inline communication.. also it would serve to accomodate for any other newslike items we miss or if we don't post it at all.. the users can post something!!
