Because BMPs are friggin huge and you'll screw up everyones browser. Its not strict, use JPG or PNG. They're WAY better. BMPs are for newbies with windows 95.

Lol I think they meant CG which is Computer Generated Graphics, CGI stands for Common Gateway Interface and is a the first form of Internet programming and is now obsolete thanks to PHP, lol sorry about the history lesson there

I never learned CGI, I bet I'd like PHP better anyways (Love it right now

Anyways, I have a windows 95, and you can take paint for a Windows 98, put it on a 95, and open/save jpgs. I make comics on that comp
