Games on battle.net have slowly gotten more and more laggy. Even though most people have DSL or a Cable internet connection people still lag. Should battle.net have more bandwisth? If they do increase it they may charge members to play. How much would you pay for it? Or would you rather put up with lag?

I'll put up with lag for free internet gaming.
Mostly becuase I'm not willing to pay a monthly fee, o and beacuse my mom wouldn't let me.
Plus if you play with a few friends the lag isn't bad, assuming your friends got cable or dsl or something.
ANd even if the game lags just leave and play another game or wiat till you can drop the lagger.

You were probaly on at a busy time. Besides, blizzard "reserves" bandwidth for their more expensive games now.

With WoW coming up don't expect a bandwith for us.

whats kewl is on sum non-bnet hosted servers u can make illies! and sum channel controls r totally diff like auto ops for ne channel if no1 is there

I'd rather have free gaming than paid for but less laggy gaming, I mean, DSL itself already costs enough for a poor family, let alone having to pay for my biggest source of entertainment, which I spend about 10x as much time doing as my next, which is reading.

I'll say like everyone else, WoW is gonna take all the space.
I also noticed CONSIDERABLE lag on D2, piss me off. I don't think it's due to the number of people on BNet really at that time. It's often laggy for no aparent reasons...

Some things you should know..
BNET doesnt host the servers.. Notice when you log on (useast) "This Server Is Hosted By AT&T"
Other things..
WoW DOES NOT USE THE SAME BATTLE.NET SERVERS AS SC/D2/W2/W3.
Its completely different!

blah i forgot about AT&T but bnet still can cancel the service to those servers right?

Lag doesn't really bother me. And I dont really care. Being able to play whenever you want is a good thing.
