Making maps has given me a whole new sense of creativitiy to design things, like this website for example.

If you let SC interfere with life, then you're a fool.

Replies deleted... Nice way for both of you to get minerals TOO...

SC changed my life for a year or so... Maybe more. Not the game itself, though, I've played better games than that. It made me go on forums and discover internet (and eventually all the friends I have here).

I haven't really played better games on my computer. Cause my computer = censored.gif

So that's why I have an X-Box and GameCube. But with no X-Box Live. Just sad, sad single player. And even sadder multiplayer with my sad, sad, sad younger brother.

I can seriously say Starcraft has dramitically changed my life.

1. I have learnt creativity (making maps), and triggers gave me a start to my programming skills.

2. I met many online friends that I will probably have for many years after I stop playing Starcraft. My oldest online friend is about 5-6 years.

3. I wanted to make a SC website. So I learnt HTML, then bought a web server, where I learnt some PHP, then I switched to VB.. where I learnt about BNCS and BNLS packets

4. I learnt photoshop skills from Starcraft.

5. I learnt about internet communities on Starcraft. Trying to become popular in an internet community (through spreading your maps/joining a clan) teaches you a valuable lesson in life. Everyone is a damn retard (BNET PEOPLE)

Theres probably tons of others but I cant remember them right now.

Yeh, becoming respected in a community is hard to do

I had a head start here so i think i have suceeded, a little bird even told me i was considered for a mod position but wassnt given cause i have my own site to manage, which i totally agree with

SC has definitely changed my life! I've been playing SC and designing maps since August 2000. And coincidentally, in August 2004, i joined SEN!

That definitely means that SC has changed my life!

And i wouldn't know a thing about programming if it wasn't for sc....................

I definitely would have done better in school if I had not played starcraft during highschool. I would not have had much fun either most of the time when I was sitting home doing nothing. Im glad I started playing because alot of my friends play to.

I learned any critical thinking skills I have from playing with the trigger system. It forced me to use parts of my brain I didn't know I had. I'm still benefitting from StarCraft even this many years after I learned how the system works.

It didnt interfere with my life, I am still living it the way I want to Mike. It just is a easy way to entertain myself.

I didn't bother reading most of the posts but...
everyone here has had their life changed by SC.
If not for SC, they would not be here, would they?
And here, we learn some new things on other people's views.

SC changed my life...
In fact, my life is SC.
I'm an addict.
I am the epitimy of 'no-lifes'.

Starcraft has changed my life easily. Before I played starcraft on b-net i thought it was very very cool to talk to other people simotanously. Now I could care less. But because of knowing to talk to other people online, I got hooked on internet and multiplayer games. That's wy I think World of Warcraft will rock.

Actually, I could say SC initiated me to online games, and it helped ALOT on my english (even though I often use short forms)

It has influenced my life in some ways, better or worse. In a better way I have met some nice people on B.net and forums(Even though not too many). It also was the first online game I started play a lot, and even though I don't play it much anymore, It still has a place in my video game heart. tongue.gif In a worse way I have met many censored.gif's on B.net that have made the experiance a bad one.

Yes. Starcraft has made me much more creative. I play for less than 7 hours a week. All of those hours are on Friday or Saturday. The storyline has given me some new ideas and ways of doing things. Starcraft taught me that not all people on the internet are perverts, pedofiles, retards, pornaholics, hackers, con artists, criminals, etc. I know that smart people that are worth talking to are on the internet as well. I learned to use many skills that I never knew i had. I also learned never to give up. I was playing creep arena and i was the only one left on my team. In thismap you gan get lings, hydras, and ultras, but you have to keep alive your drone. It was 3v3 and 2 people on my team left. I took on 3 of the people on the other team. I miraculousely managed to kill one of their drones. I beat another person by forcing his drone into a corner with lings and then made a sunken. The last guy boxed me and my remaining fortress of sunkens in. I ended up with 2 sunkens and our drones were attacking each other. Three of his hydras spwaned by the drone. The I spawned 2 ultras, killed the hydras and the boxed in his drone. Amazing, huh.

I think Yoshi says it best. SC really isn't worth it. SC also gave me a feeling of creativity, instead of making webpages though I started looking for other games that had map editors.
