Now im thinking of making a big melee map wit 2 pplz near each mineral/guysers. it wud b a bloody map im just thinking that its a bit harded 2 kill sum1 cuz thell have each other right next 2 each other 2 defend. im gonna make it so that ur always allied wit ur neighbor, however i figure it out. If u have ne suggestions, tell me, or tell me if its sounds rly bad

Now what im saying exactly is that u no how they have a base at each set of minerals and geysers? Well wat im thinking of doing is making 2 bases at each set of minerals and geysers. Im going 2 have the ppl at the same minerals/geysers allied. So if ur getting attked, ur partner wont have 2 go across the screen to save u. I hope that makes it a bit more simple.

So this is a Melee map played in UMS? Otherwise you can't make them ally...

yes, its made in ums. ive come across a few problems, but maybe u guyz can help me...

Protoss Units/Terran Units cannot b built on a creep colony

Pplz will eventually figure out where evry1 is and attk as soon as possible

And, Space might b an issue

For the creep issue (it's creep, not a creep colony), that can't be helped. Either don't let them choose zerg or separate the start locations even further. You can also make a line of ore separating them (I believe ore can stop creep from spreading).

People attack as soon as possible anyway (aka rushing). What's the problem there?

If space is an issue, make the terrain bigger and redo it. If its 64x64 now, make it 96x96 or 128x128.

Personally, I think this is a bad idea. If you just can't run across the map to help an ally, it's your problem. And honestly, you'll just be easier to beat with the 2 bases near each others...


And for christ's sake, stop using slang!!

And on that note, why would people want to play Melee in UMS? This maps is starting to sound more like TvB Zero Clutter maps.

Clutter = etiher small or huge map without any doodads and infinite money... Doesn't nessessarely means a melee map is UMS that it can't be melee.

Just an add-on of some sort (as long as it doesn't become imbalanced)

For the creep problem, place a line of something you can't build on(rocky ground, water, temple, etc) between the start locations. And, ya, stop using slang ;\

ya, after thinking about all this, it seems like a lot of work 4 a game thats never gonna b played... pinch.gif i think im gonna focus on my d2 defence game which i DO think is a bit easier and will b way more popular thx all

Actually I was talking abot the fact that in the 3v3 Zero Clutter maps, you have one team trying to kill the other team by using teamwork. What I'm saying is, this prmise seems very similar to what Death is trying to achieve.

ya devil is right, that is wat im trying 2 acheive but im gonna think im gonna twist it around and make a 2v2v2v2 zero clutter nr20 with shared bases. usually i think they will ally their base partner because of course, they start of equal. it can also b 4v4

the fast map part, thats very simple. i took devils advice and now the map is 128x128 thx itll b ready in a few weeks (just cuza school is taking up a lil bit of time)

Sounds like a bad and boring idea. The idea is even worse then most of the melee ideas i've had. Most of my ideas were reallly bad.
