Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> I've got Problems ;)

Alright, well let me first introduce myself to those of you that don't know me. My name is Derek (or 37. on Starcraft and Brood War - US East). Anyway, I have a few things that I would like to work out sometime in the not too distant future. First off, I haven't ever really tried to make a UMS map of any kind and I was wondering if you had some tutorials that I could follow in order to help me. I'd prefer if it was like a bound, but for now I'm sure anything would help me and eventually I could expand to bounds.

Also, I have a few problems with hosting on Brood War, and I was wondering if any of you could help me with that. If it helps any, I rarely ever lag in games, and I have a Belkin Router that links two of my computers to the internet. The connection I have is a 512 upstream. The problem that Starcraft always gives me is that the latency is too high, no matter what. If anyone could help on either of these I would greatly appreciate it.

Most the times the latency problem can be temporarlly fixed.

What you do is first have your friend host a map. Join the game channel. You don't have to start the game just quit out. Then host a game and have your friend join, he should be able to join now.

QUOTE
When making a new topic for help, the topic title should be about your problem and not about "I need help" or "I don't get this". Your topic WILL be deleted if it doesn't have a discriptive title!
