I just tried it out at Game Stop yes I am grouneded but I can go to Game Stop and the guy there gots a Alien Ware labtop and let me play it soo cooo cant wait to buy it.

I heard a talk from a Maxis exec. about Sims 2. She said it would have ton of new features and hell of better graphics. Heh, I live so close to there, and I know Will Wright's home phone number

Mind telling more? Like, anything new, or what computer you'll need to run this?

From the little information you gave, it takes a uber-good computer to run the game and apparently there are no difference between Sims 1 and 2 (except "new" things, which doesn't change it much from another big expantion...)

The SIMS are boring, its only fun to piss ur people off!

Sims is fun game its not boring the only thing i like about sims is getting people killed or trapping them

Will probly run on WIN98 or better; the new features include things like new needs the sims have and new places to go, etc.

Yea, so I did some research, which is what I do before buying most games (EXCLUDING THE GREAT SC!), and the Sims 2 came up with about a 9.5 out of 10 score! Just a warning! I don't know about all people, but the Sims 2 ROCKS! I mean, it is so insane all the things that can be done, and the ageing!

Also, the Sims 2 is a large improvement from the original, as they have it in 3D, instead of 2D, which allows for MORE new options than the original. Also, they improved the houses, so that they can now be built up to 3 levels, and I heard a rumor that the basements could be built... There is a new movie mode, in which you can make films about your sims!

Listen, they are expanding this game in so many ways the original could not! I can't wait to see how the first expansion pack, which will have PUPPYS, will come out! I WANT ANIMALS AGAIN! I think that is the only thing that they got rid of that really will change the way I raise the Sims!

I mean, in the Sims 2, there is going to be a UFO to take your sims!

Also, I can't wait to see how a childlife of hell affects the Sim as he/she is grown up!

I can't wait for 5 Sim 2 Expansion Packs to come out and drain my wallet. Yippie.

Yea, Maxis is making a killing on people's wallets with this! I hope it is a success, because this could lead to the end of the series, also! I mean, GOD! $50 for one game, where the expansion packs are always $30? INSANE! They make so much money off of this, and the price I think is a bit too much....damn it, it's too adictive to not buy...

Well I just got finished killing my obese self in Sims2 what fun my children are probally gonna die like my wife lol fire.

I have the game, but I admit it lacks items. So, they're going to make expantion packs, theres no doubt about it.

OMG, I almost bought this game today. But then I realized why I stopped playing SIMS. First, charging $30 for expantions are rediculious. The expantions are not even that great, they should be downloadable patches! Sims 2 will just be a new way to make Sim fans go broke again! Don't get me wrong, I love the sims and still play all the sims games I was able to afford that I bought. But it is just rediculous when they charge so much for expantions and then charge to play on-line....seems like a microsoft project.

Do you actually need the original game for expantions? Cuz seirously, 30 bucks is a bit too much... Though we shouldn't talk.

Lol, do we need sims 1 + all expantions to play sims 2? I wouldn't doubt it. I just think Maxis ( I think they made the sims) turned to a bunch of money hungry whores.

There is a difference I think between buying an expantion that lets you put 30 new object, 5 new jobs and some other irrelevent things inside a home and will have no immediate effect to its inviorment....and besides there is no competition in the sims.

Broodwars on the other hand only had a few things added as well but with those few things they changed the way people played the game, so I think that expantion was worth it. Now if there was 10 more expantions to SC I would probably not consider getting SC2 if it ever comes out.

The Sims is like an uber boring version of Starcraft. It's like playing with Staredit while playing SC. I don't care about Sims 2. My neighbor, however loves the Sims and thinks Starcraft is uber stupid. Two opposites that don't attract.

Sims 2 rocks..i got a guy and a girl and i got the relationship very high and i got them into bed and they...mated...I tried for baby and i got one..then it grew up into an adult . I also managed to get burgled, get half my house burnt down and had a Sim going crazy when she saw a robber.

Of course...u can only achieve all the fun stuff with cheating

Lol... it's just too damn obvious with this statement. Why the hell would maxis not include puppies and ? To increase the demand for the expansion. They probably knew people loved animals too damn much and avoided including everything in one game. It's almost like the .hack series. You take 1 whole idea/concept and split it into 6 ty pieces for more money. Seriously... a new .hack game every 3 months? That has to be a big tip off on tiness.

Anyways... doing that on purpose = ubber lame = don't support it. Just download it.
