Some map that I've been recently working on... and yes, full house is required (4 players)

I don't know if I worked out all the bugs and glitches. It always seems a new one pops up from nowhere when I fix an old one.

It's pretty much based upon the 2-P Battle on GCN, cept with different stuff.

A team consists of 2 players controlling a Captain and Pikmin. You try to build up your numbers and then launch an attack upon the opposing team. For that "twist," only the Captain has vision, making both players use teamwork to achieve their goal.

There are four ways to win:
1) Steal and bring back Enemy Team Marble
2) Bring back three Yellow Marbles
3) Kill the Enemy Captain
4) Kill all Enemy Pikmin

Hopefully, the in-game "How to Play" will give enough information as how the mechanics work.

Suggestions to make the map better are also welcomed.

Oh, btw, the "How to Play" is in the powerups area.

hey ive got a suggestion, u may not wanna make it a full house cuz when u start 2 spread itll not b a full house trust me

yes i suppose, its a good point, but id change it UNLESS its completely dependant on a full house

I'm not here to brag, but I actually created the first Pikmin map (not pikmin evolution, the game name was pikmin). I admire how people make Pikmin maps nowadays and its very interesting to see how people use the reaver as the parts which I coined. The map can be improved however.

I would like to see how you try to do this map. I might make another version if I can.

make it where you have to actually plant the pikmin and they sprout in the ground and you have to pull them out

It's only 4 players...if you needed 8 players it might be a problem, but most games have at least 4 players.
You could put some slots for observers so that other people can watch.

I wish I could do that, but Staredit can't differentiate between units of the same kind (ie: 50 zerglings controlled by P1 and I wanted to make it so SC could tell which one spawned first). Unless someone already figured out how to do this, then I probably could make it so that u can pluck pikmin and such (since pikmin grow when they are in the ground).

I don't think people would want to watch a 10 to 30 minute game. That, and the other slots are used for creatures, items, and such.

Let's see... what to add to the game...

Hey have you considered just going to ur map, completely changing the terrain, and making a different type of landscape? Or, you could just change to a different land type completely (such as snow land biggrin.gif) save ur trigs from that game and load them to that map. (Of course you would have to re-do all the locations... but hey... at least u dont have to re-do ALL the triggers!)

Also, I know what you really need.

Hmm secondly, you should explain some things that are different from other Pikmin maps, such as that you don't auto-spawn units and instead of the
Blue/yellow/red concept, you are using seed/bud/flower, and you choose the type of pikmin you make via ur "unique" system of creating pikmin.

Oh yea also... maybe you should modify the captain.. i mean come on...

You know I know of your 'secret missions' i sent you on and you won easily because pikmin are easy to kill... w00t.gif

SO ANYWAYS.... I hope you harder on ur Pikmin map than i do on your secret map called T........ I mean... err... uhh... crazy.gif RUNAWAY!!!!! (>.<)

Don't you remember Pikmin Challenge Adv? Either I did something wrong, but oh boy, that horrible 'lag'. I didn't think it would have been possible to create that kind of lag without causing the connection to battle.net to get f***ed up.

Besides, it is THEIR fault for not reading all those info that I put in the map (breif, in-game tips, how to play) and yet they are still clueless as to what they are doing...

Maybe making different level layouts would be a good idea? Cept, though, there would be more to download.

It's not getting a full house that's the problem... it's getting the people to STAY LONG ENOUGH TO PLAY A FULL GAME

(sorry for this post being unorganized... it's one of my tragic character flaws tongue.gif )
and yea, maybe I should modify the captains. Im able to go on a solo mission and kill all enemy pikmin pinch.gif I just didn't want it so that players would always focus on killing the captains to win easily. I mean, before, about 10 flowers were all that you needed to pretty much rape them.
