Hey, I just joined, and I already have a question for you guys...
You see, I have been making several different campaigns, and I know most things about the Starcraft Campaign Editor. One thing that do I while I make these campaigns is put music into them. As my campaign editor has told me, I can only use 8-bit wav files for sounds. So I convert all the files and put them into the sound menu.
As you would expect, wav files are freakin huge. And my map file sizes tripple. I was wondering if anybody knows how to keep the wav file sizes down, or if there is any campaign editor that reads MP3s.
Cobra
there is a way to make them smaller, u either make them play faster ( a lot of programs can do it) or drop the quality of the sound, which i dont prefer cause then it sounds pretty bad
about the MP3s, i dont think u can sry

I see...
Can you list some of those programs so I can download them, if possible.
I know that speeding it up wont do in my case. so that is not an option. And I agree with you lowering the quality.
Hey, do any of you guys use starcraft, or played starcraft on a mac?
uhhh no, i try and avoid most apples cept iPods
on windows they give u this sound recording one, it can speed up by 1 step, but i kno others have it, just dont kno the names, well ET's out for 2night guys
peace easy
yeah...
I have played SC on macs, and there are a lot of perks on the mac version. Like, the campaign editor comes with a built in sound converter. Of course, there is the no right click flaw.
