I know there used to be a way to run a sound directly from the mpq using stardraft, so I wouldent have to add a sound to my map, hence making it bigger. But when I used stardraft a get a screenload of errors because I don't have starcraft 1.04 . Is there anyway to do this now?
Use Starforge, Or change the sound format to 16 bit. Thats all i can think of right now.
Whenever I run SCMToolkit I get 2 errors. First is
LMPQAPI Error: Cannot initialize Library
Second is
SCM Toolkit:
Could not find chk file "Staredit/scenario.chk"
ne Help?
Download the required files and it should be fine.
haha, nope

unfortunatly, Blizzard is constantly updating battle.net and such to make sure people don't hack/cheat etc. so the only way to get back to 1.04 is to uninstall SC and reinstall it, i suggest you back up your map to an area outside of the map sections, as with all of your maps.
scmdraft supports all 3 modes of wav compression (which got bugged in staredit starting with 105)
Just use Starforge, SCMDraft, or SCFreeSounds(I think that's what it's called..).
go to technical support if you are having problems running programs because i can almost guarantee that you wont get any help in this forum for it. about the stardraft i wouldnt recommend using that. use deathknights idea.
Go look for "Starforge 2.0," then in the "Sounds" menu thing click on a MPQ Wav, then click on "Add from MPQ," then when you want to put that sound in go into starforge then do the trigger with the WAV IN SF.
Well, I tried the SF idea, and I can't seem to find the music in the MPQ. I did the scm toolkit, and it worked for me once....so....argh...meh stuck
