Earlier today I made the following connection: Only TWO units in StarCraft are African American, the insignificant SCV who constantly picks his nose, and a VILLIAN, a VILLIAN for Christ's sake! It's time to discuss, what do you think?

The scv is african american, he just looked kind of tan to me...
Duran was a villian in the terran and protoss campaigns, for terran he betrayed them and got stukov killed and in protoss he was infested and made a protoss/zerg hybrid.

Uh, you mean white Anglo-Saxon protestants. Martin van Buren was Dutch, and Kennedy was an Irish Catholic (of course).
Yoshi da Sniper is right; Samir Duran's the only non-Caucasian person in Starcraft.
When you think about it, Blizzard is a bit sexist as well. I mean, there are only a few women in Starcraft. In addition, all of them are white, which ties it to the "Blizzard is racist" argument.

So until I get a blizzard official statement declaring he's black, he's still white in my eyes.

Okay, if he looks black, do the following.
1. Look at your screen. Now, below it look for some sort of panel with many buttons.
2. Look for the one with the circle and the sun. These are your brightness controls. Turn these up.
3. Now look again. Does he appear white?
IF NOT...
- Call your local lenscrafters and have them make some big strong glasses for you. Its 125 bucks off now!
- Call your doctor and tell him that you're eyes have darkened.
- Take a sharp stick and poke at your computer parts.

i turned brightness up in the moniter..i don't have a "sun" button
and he looks black to me. can't you tell the different places where it clearly shows light and then shadow which proves light and we all know light makes thing "shinier" or "whiter"

Ok, ignore my previous post. The SCV is clearly black now. Mainly because of these reasons:
1. Look at how much they stressed the nose and lips. Typical stereotype for blacks is they have big noses and lips.
2. His mustache and chin hair is solid black. Also the sideburns resembles a black person.
The only objection I have is his

Without Kerrigan's permission or knowledge, I might add, and since he's one of her higher ranking people, I'd say it's pretty damn likely she knows everything he does, and when...
unless... *gasp* he's only pretending to be infested, because he's immune to it or something!
Notice how the Zerg merely scared the Xel'NAga off(and destroyed most of their fleet), but did not absorb them?
The technological the Xel'naga had could have made the Zerg perfect both in Form(Protoss) and whatever it was the Zerg was, thus makingthem the perfect race.
But, they chased after the Protoss trying to infest them.
So probably, they can't infest Xel'naga, and the Xel'naga, having made the Zerg, know how to make it seem as though they're infested, and Duran is a rogue or something trying to finish the experiment and ccreating perfection.
