I just finished Xeris Arena FFA V6.3 and awaiting feedback so I could make another version.
Meanwhile, I want to make another map. I have a faint idea about how it works.
2-6 players.
Free for All
Objective: steal the ring at the center of map with your scv/drone/probe and return home.
Obstacles: Other players will be fighting you, as well as computer. scv/probe/drone will be have very low life.
Perhaps in beginning you may choose scv/drone or probe.
If SCV (Frodo) chosen,
player gets aragorn,gimle,legolas help
If PROBE chosen,
player gets ogre, goblins, trolls
If DRONE chosen,
player gets .........
Why is this in the Map Assistnace Location, this seems a little off, or are you asking how you do that technique with choosing?
Just have three locations, if many spare, over each of the stops where you choose one, NOT overlapping. To make sure it only works once, or such do this
Conditions:
Switch '1' is Clear
Player '1' Brings Exactly 1 Unit to Location 'Frodo(SCV)
Actions:
Set Switch '1'
Add the rest of your informations
Then for the others do the same, you can even change it to be like this one below if you want it to work for multiple players and such
(Any Players you want it for)
Conditions:
Current Player has suffered Exactly 0 Deaths for Mineral Patch
Player '1' Brings Exactly 1 Unit to Location 'Frodo(SCV)
Actions:
Set Deaths for Mineral Patch to 1 for Current Player
Add the rest of your informations
Preserve Trigger
Repeat it for the other two locations, and that will work for each player, and only once!
I personaly think you should consider a differant map title.
But do you have a question cause this is the assistance thread? <--notice quesiton mark (usefull punctuation).
Isn't this capture the flag, except its not a flag, but a Ring O_o
And make sure Probe and Drone get a name, its bad when everything has a nice name and everything, while the Probe and Drone are still named Protoss Probe and Zerg Drone.
The Trolls, Orcs, and Goblins should go under Drone
and Elves? should be for the probe
But I'm just babbaling here, what do I know?
