There really isn't a race such as American. "American" is just a mix of virtually all other races. The reason the other races exist is that they were always isolated before the modern age and technology was able to intermix all the people. Unless we suddenly seal off all immigration and get a good mix for about 20 generations, there isn't any "American" race.

The american race is like the borg: we assimilate all other races. Very soon, the world will be one big omni race, with no one left without at least some bits of other cultures in them.
