8 Players = 32,767 Deaths = 204 Units = 53,475,744 Counters

Simple Timing; Or Adding, nothing difficult, just always wondered how high you can get them, however most are not useful, just shows you how high those numbers could go, if it was working nicely.

Note;
All Player amounts are possible, due to Forces/Allied/Non-Allied/All Players choices, and therefore you could set to get these results linked.
Second part is a little harder, since you can't link the figures, however if you run out, somehow on the first lot, you can just add them to this, and so together reach this total, in the end...

No one will reach 53 million counters because it's too long a work.

THis gives me an idea, with that many counters you could have a whole heck of a lot of variables in a game.

This kinda gives an insight that a game like a side-scrolling screen is possible.

Not 53 million seperate counters. A total of 53 million seperate values storable accross all counters.

Wrong again. Counters can hold up to 32 bits of information, which goes waaay beyond 32,767. Whether allowable in scxe or not, all you have to do is use 'add to' to go past the editor's max amount.

Like i said, i was working off that ability, you want me to do it through a 32 Bit system, i'll add them again, this is using that as a Maximum, and the totals are insanely high anyway you look at them.

32,767; is what...15 Bit...
32 Bit would be 4,294,967,296

Therefore replace all my workings with that...

[EDIT: Tux's Insane 32 Bit]
To get the starting level, simply "Add" 32767, Seventeen times, and that will get your result 4,294,967,296...

1 Players = (4,294,967,296)*1 Deaths = One Unit [4,294,967,296]
2 Players = (4,294,967,296)*2 Deaths = One Unit [8,589,934,592]
3 Players = (4,294,967,296)*3 Deaths = One Unit [12,884,901,888]
4 Players = (4,294,967,296)*4 Deaths = One Unit [17,179,869,184]
5 Players = (4,294,967,296)*5 Deaths = One Unit [21,474,836,480]
6 Players = (4,294,967,296)*6 Deaths = One Unit [25,769,803,776]
7 Players = (4,294,967,296)*7 Deaths = One Unit [30,064,771,072]
8 Players = (4,294,967,296)*8 Deaths = One Unit [34,359,738,368]

1 Players = 4,294,967,296 Deaths = 204 Units = Mixed Variable [876,173,328,384]
2 Players = 4,294,967,296 Deaths = 204 Units = Mixed Variable [1,752,346,656,768]
3 Players = 4,294,967,296 Deaths = 204 Units = Mixed Variable [2,628,519,985,152]
4 Players = 4,294,967,296 Deaths = 204 Units = Mixed Variable [3,504,693,313,536]
5 Players = 4,294,967,296 Deaths = 204 Units = Mixed Variable [4,380,866,641,920]
6 Players = 4,294,967,296 Deaths = 204 Units = Mixed Variable [5,257,039,970,304]
7 Players = 4,294,967,296 Deaths = 204 Units = Mixed Variable [6,133,213,298,688]
8 Players = 4,294,967,296 Deaths = 204 Units = Mixed Variable [7,009,386,627,072]

There you go, just for you!

Aight I got sort of told...
I'm not a technical dude do I don't know this stuff, I only know how to use it.

7 quadrillion is a whole lot more and a whole lot of more posibilities.

Maybe a game of Duck Hunt playing it on the mini map?

K

So... what's the use for knowing the maximum possible combined value of all unit counters in a starcraft map? The only knowledge anyone might really need with that is how many counters there are, not how high their max value can be.

Anyone stop to think that we all have far too much time on our hands?

How is this useful in the first place...?

Oh it has no real purpose, just thought i'd add it, just incase, there comes a time in the future you wanted to work it out.
