ok....after you switch to square tiles using ISOM, the one question i have is, how do i switch back to the regular tile set? if it's even possible? or is ISOM meant ot be like a finishing tool kinda like StarForge?

ISOM is an old system and i dont think you can change it back. use scmdraft or starforge. i recommend scmdraft cuz starforge cant undo things.

SCMDraft can Undo, also it's sprites take up less space.
Starforge can Save Brushes, and do triggers.

Now pick.

ya good idea using the scm draft 2. starforge terrain can screw up your map if you open it up in xtra editor. if you still want to learn how to use isom you can email me at urmom599@msn.com

SCMDraft is a little bit laggy and the Master Pallette is put together crappy,
I'd suggest using Stargorge, if you accedently put a terrain tile in the wrong spot, just overlap it with the old tile wink.gif

ISOM is one of the oldest terrain editors its way outdated now but if you prefer on using a outdated terrain editor ill let you...and i think 20 is for 2x1 tiles i have used it in about since SCMDraft came out biggrin.gif

1. Close Staredit
2. Open ISOM
3. Load the map into isom
4. Put 0 in the blank
5. Select byte
6. Click Write to save the map
7. Open the map again in Staredit and it should work.

Now its been about a year at least since i even opened the program but it comes with a nice tool called a readme that tells you how to use it.

When you use Sf2, just don't open X-tra. DO the triggers in SF2, after a while it gets easier than X-tra. Then put sprites and units and isometrical (normal) terrain down with scmdraft. I suggest using scmdraft for unit placing because its hard to not stack units when using Sf2, and they won't neccessarily be on invalid terrain, which will crash SC. That combination is da bomb.
