when you want to make an invisible bunker do you have to create the bunker at a location first (with a trigger) then make the disable trigger? or can you place the bunker on the map first (without triggers) then make the disable trigger?
You would have to place the bunker first and then use the disable trigger.
You can do it with HP so it looks like it's instant.
You can also build/preplace then bunker and then place some conditions to make is disabled.
i have placed the bunkers on the map in the ditor (without using triggers) and i have placed a location over them. i cant create the bunkers with a trigger because i put the bunkers over overlapping terrain (low ground over high ground). i show you my trigger.
players: PLAYER 6 (the owner of the bunkers)
conditions: elapsed time is 0 game seconds
Actions: DISABLE doodad state for bunker at location flame1 for player 6
am i doing this wrong?
make it at least 0 game seconds (might not make a difference but I always make sure it works)
make it so the computer either gives vision the to players OR create a detector there (preplaced works)
then turn off vision OR destroy that detector.
Yes it should work nicely.
Change the conditions to this:
Elapsed time is at least 1 second.
EDIT: Cheese said the methos so that you can't see the bunker at all.
You said the one where you can see it cloaked.
For cheeze's method you need to unvision yourself first and then have a somputer give you vision.
After disabling it to make it invisible, if you want it even more invisible you can teleport it to another location, the bunker itself will move, but the unit in it remain in the same spot in a bunker which is not there, the units will still fire and you can walk over them

why do you need to unvision yourself? i've done it plenty of times with vision to myself

ok, so no just to clarify. i want to make it so you CANT see the bunker, but its in flames so it just looks like a fire. so the trigger i want to make is:
player: 6 (owner of the bunker)
conditions: elapsed time is at least 1 second
actions: -disable doodad state for bunker for player 6 and location
-wait 10 milliseconds (im not about this)
-kill all observers for player X (im not sure what player, if its the player that owns the bunker or the player that doesn't want to see the bunker.)
just to say again, i DONT want the players to see the bunker, just to see the flames.
kill the observer for the humans. make sure you can still see that place with a map revealer or else the fog of war will make the bunker appear again

that would just make the bunker disabled, but you can still see it. unless you create the bunker with a trigger, which i cant do.
so i have a player that is unvisioned (that owns the bunkers), i have the bunkers and observers placed on the map, i disable the bunker then kill the observers (for the human players). this is all happening in the blackness (the blackness where you haven't explored the map yet, NOT fog of war, BLACKNESS), is this a problem, and if it is then i would make it so that there are map revelers.

This worked for me perfectly on a map i made, it looked like it was just Fire,
you cloak bunkers by disabling it,then moving it somewhere to you cant see it(turn off vision for yourself)(alsot urn on vision for a comp)
ok, im getting really pissed off. all you ideas (and mine) are all garbage! i've tried them all! im not blaming you because its probably somehting IM doing wrong, but could one of you take a look at my map? i'll explain EVERYTHING.
i want player 5 to own all of the observers. i want player 6 to own all of the bunkers that are going to go invisible. player 6 is never visioned with the human players, player five (aftter about 3 or 4 seconds) is, and all of the human players aren't visioned to themselves or any other player. Okay, so what i want to happen is the player 6 bunkers be disabled and then 50 milliseconds after that the observers are destroyed.
so the problem was that I could get the bunker to go invisible but the observers wouldn't die! or, if i changed something (im not sure, i forget now

) the observers would die and the bunkers would be disabled but wouldn't be invisible! If someone could help me, PLEASE HELP ME, heres the map.
I think the problem was hyper triggers doing something against waits..or maybe that was the problem when I was testing blah. anyway, I changed it to player 1 observers ...

actually, i looking at it and i realized the players didn't have vision with each other.... you'll either need to give them vision through the forces window or give each player an observer there and kill it
