PREMISE:
Snakey's Paintball Field. Long renowned for its prowess and competitive paintball. Today is NEWBIE DAY! Welcome the beginners people, now lets watch the shoot eachother to death! To start, we have given each newbie a Yugo '86 POWERPUMP gun, which should do them good. Ready, set, FIRE AT WILL!
GAMEPLAY:
You start with a hydralisk on either Team A or Team B. This hydra is a newbie gun, the weakest. You have this gun until you get 100 minerals, killing 10 people at 10 minerals per person. Then, you go to the REFIT beacon and exit the arena, and from there you go to a Cost beacon, which is either be Cheap, Reasonable, Expert, or Addicted. When you go to the beacon, you go to yet ANOTHER chamber, with 2-3 choices for new guns. Then you purchase your gun, and your unit changes to the new gun, you exit the chamber, the refit facillity, and then you go back to play 'ball.
Extended:
COST BEACONS:
Each cost beacon brings you to another chamber, with 2-3 choices, all of which are different cost.
GUNS:
For each COST LEVEL, (Cheap to Addicted), you have a couple of choices. There is the YUGO, the cheapest gun and lowest quality, made in yugoslavia. The MODELLISTO, middle of the road, from Canada, and the WARKAST, made in the good ol' US of A and super-high quality.
GUN VS. GUN:
It wouldn't be a great game if a Reasonable Modellisto could beat an Addicted Warkast. The system is tiered so that Addicted<Expert<Reasonable<Cheap, and further tiered so that Warkast<Modellisto<Yugo.
UNITS:
What sort of units I see? you may say. All sorts. But the system is tiered into counters and balances, like Starcraft. For example, if say, everyone gets enough kills to buy something Cheap rather than their Yugo 86, they would buy say, a Zergling (Yugo), Marine (Modellisto), or Warkast (Zealot). And that system goes Marine kills zergling, Zealot kills marine AND zergling, but zergling can be bought cheaply and fast enough to kill enough for a Warkast. Then we take it up a notch, with Hero Marine, Vulture, and a Hero Ghost with lockdown.
MISC:
Does the idea sound promising? Im sorry if I didnt explain or over-explained, just ask me if you need something re-posted about.
... Dude, I didnt strictly say it was a paintball-style game. Its a paintball game though, just different. But as it appears noone likes the paintball idea, I guess I can cancel it. And FYI: A Paint Knife is a small ballon filled with paint, placed on a stick. You sneak up behind someone and stab em with it.
