Ah what the hell. I was going to stick in in my upcoming This is Starcraft movie, but I'll go ahead and release it cause people wanna see it (it's cheasy as hell, btw).
As usual, don't play it in single player mode (use an empty LAN or bnet game if you must), and try to avoid laggy players if not (lag throws off some of the timings).
Enjoy!
I shall be the Frist to download you map. Dammit internet so slow in Staredit but not on ither sites. I took me about 20 sec just to click this reply!
Edit: ARGH no wonder!
Edit 2: Hmm seems to be working good now...
Edit 3: Nope it WAS working...

I was second to dl this. I'm gonna try this out now
I'm having troubles with SEN too... maybe it's cuz of the new error page yoshi put up? I dunno... but it's usual... I get these errors every day. And on other sites it's just fine.
LoL, not too bad... I personally liked "#6: ..." the best out of all of them

Heheh I wonder why... It's nice how you managed to put all the "speech" together. Is staredit working now???
It's good. Is it finished or is this just a beta version? This is kinda short.
Also... how'd you make the map only 43 KB with all those sounds in there?
You muust tell me....
Also if you need some music for anything, I got 2 gameboy advance games I have that I unlocked sound test on. (Boktai and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow)
If you didn't notice all the sounds were from Starcraft Characters. You can manually change the places Starcraft looks for the Wav file, through many methods, SCMDraft has it a believe. You can also add wavs from the Campaign part, which is on the CD. They dont take up any space, because they are not in the chk file for the SCX, they are from the MPQ.

pretty good. i dont think ive ever heard of some of the sounds. did you make them?
for the wavs part i think it was those virtual sound wavs in the stardat.
Some of those WAVs only occur if you click a unit dozens of times. You can hear them by using Blizzard's sound extrator or using StarForge to select them manually. I think a couple might have been campaign sounds.
Funny. Kind of. Tux I worry about you sometimes

Great job tux, I like your style. hahaha. Well you did a great job on such a funny map. keep up the good work. and how is A&O coming?
so...was ending suppose to be when everything just stopped coming? I have never waited it out... but I didn't get a Scenario Ending screen

Tux does it again...
HILARIOUS. Keep it going, it was too short
. hehe, How to use Starcraft as is own Map... -_^ Tuxedo keep and keep to impress again and again... He a master...
Ps: Jim with Kerrigan was.. a Déjà-Vu... ( hehe First French expression in english..i never see why..

)
Is it possible to use starcraft sounds without a sound extractor or sound forge?
I'd like to see more, TT, (new nickname for Tuxedo Templar) the ending didn't convince me that it was done.
Also.... I showed it to a friend and right away after we were done he hosted it in a public game... is that a bad thing?

Cuz I think it might be.
I doubt showing in online is an issue, because it is protected. As for extracting the sounds, well the sound extractor isn't that hard to use, you download it off this site, run it and all the sounds appear.
However for the Campaign and Brood War sounds, you're need an MPQViewer, or WinMPQ, get a data list of all the files, which should be found at
http://www.campaigncreations.org/ and then either look in the BroodWar.mpq or the Install file in the CD. Then extract the .wavs, and then edit the strings to make them link to the address within the CD or the MPQ.
The sounds were easy to import. I'm surprised no one (besides Drunken Wrestler) has tried to make one of these yet.
The only drawback with using MPQ sounds is that they take up a string slot each, and in this case there are over 380 sounds I imported into the map (most of which I didn't use, though). Other than that, if you're creative, you could do a lot with SC's own sounds by how you mix them, especially the various attacks and unit action sounds. For instance I saved over 400k filesize in A&O by arranging MPQ sounds to make the various guns, tools/mechans, environmental, ambient, and speech sounds I was originally planning to import externally. Looks like there's hope of this being a bnet map after all!
I've used them a lot, interesting uses for them, such as i used to use them in my Rise of Rome remake, where units got replaced, it would play the sounds of a unit being created, maybe have some comment from your user. Also if your main base got attacked it would play that one.
Many of them can be Used to make mission for starcraft... that could be interesting with Jim Raynor Agains't Kerrigan...
lol that was funny i liked them all
go raynor and kerri and da archon
