I think they should remake Diablo1 to have the same engine as Diablo 2. And at least have the same graphics. But only if they use the same multiplayer system as diablo2, instead of have hack city all over again.

Nah, D2 owns D1. If they make a sequel it should be a completely new plot and storyline, not a reused one.

I wouldn't mind if they did remake it, but Diablo 2 is way better, so they may just be wasting money if they do remake it. Hey do you guys think that they will make a Diablo 3? Hah, I think they won't, they have enough stuff they should be working on. StarCraft:Ghost, StarCraft 2, World of WarCraft, and etc...

Yeah right... as if you'd play it. Why don't they remake warcraft 1? They'd probably make Diablo 3 after which ever blizzard finishes their current project. I think blizzard north deals with diablo. Well, if bliizard north is working on world of warcraft... their next project would probably be an expansion as soon as it stablizes.... Then diablo 3 perhaps.
Either that or they'll make a new "craft" universe. Maybe their own version of the sims?

Have you guys even played Diablo 1?! Sure, the graphics suck. and sure, you cant run. (ect) But if they remade it, it would probly surpass diablo2. And Diablo1 has a lot cooler story to it. I like wandering in a Cathedral dungeon that eventually leads into hell, instead of chasing after three 
heads. But hey, thats just my opinion, and i'd like to know what more people think of this.

I voted no, I mean the game is dead. Anyhow I think they should make a new game similar to the Diablo series but maybe from the opponents view point, like you could be Baal, Mephisto, or Diablo and try to kill the heroes 1 in each act, that would make 7 acts.

I had more fun playign DI than DII. Both in single player.
Taking the year that each game was released I would have to say that DI completly owns DII.
DI has a better ambient to it and better music.
DII is way funner because of multiplayer and huge amounts of items, but DII is a very poor game in single player.

I want Blizz to use their time to expand the Diablo universe and storyline. If they did remake D1, then they will have to change much of it, since D1's storyline is rarely implemented ingame, unlike D2.

I voted yes for about two reasons.
First, D1 was the first Blizzard game I ever played (right next to War1) and I enjoy that one alot better than D2 because it has a better storyline (as people have said) and two, it wouldn't be hard for them to remake it. It probibly wouldn't even cost them much if they were to do so. All they would really have to do is go into the D1 code and tweak it up.
I think it would be awsome to see D1 reborn.....
Oh. Another thing that would be pretty cool, is if they went ahead and created a new Diablo game that included the expansion packs and the originals of both D1 and D2. That would be cool, because then you would have the D1 and D2 story lines acually put into one game.

If they remade diablo 1 it would be cool about diablo 2, but ive heard the thought of making a new d2 or a d3... its impossible unless you change the world of the planet (because it got destroyed when the worldstone did)... in which case couldnt you jsut give it a new name and make it practically the same. They would get more money with the new name because people would purchase it and think this is going to be even better than diablo.

Ummmmm.... the planet didn't get destroyed when the worldstone shattered. I forget what exactly the purpose the worldstone held, but it looks like the planet is going to be in some serious trouble now. It couldn't be in this "trouble" if the planet didn't exist. You wouldn't even have a game if this planet didn't exist. And, you definately did NOT win the war with baal if, by killing the worldstone and shattering the entire planet, you destroyed all of humanity as well.

D1 does not need to be remade. I wouldn't want blizzard wasting time on a dead game... Instead, work on sc2 and d3.
