can any one tell me how to do the best key card system... i dont have a item place i searched the forums but couldnt find it.


this is what im asking

1. when they first bring a unit to the door or w/e it says Door locked try finding a key

then why they bring a unit to the location it says u found a key card and then when they go back they can open it. i had my own system but it failed me cry.gif

Players: Force 1
Conditons: Switch KeyCard is Clear
Actions: Display Text "Door is locked, find da key"
> PreserveTrigger

Players: Force 1
Conditons: Switch KeyCard is Set
Actions: Display Text "Keycard used"

Players: Force 1
Conditons: Switch KeyCard is Set
Actions: Disable doodad state for door at location door
(or whatever opens the door)
> Preserve Trigger

Players: Force 1
Conditons: Bring at least 1 unit to area where key is
Actions: Remove the unit that exhibits your keycard
> Set Switch KeyCard

Or use complicated death count numbers (harder but uses few switches). I would, however suggets the switch method unless you have like 50 or so keycards.
