Now now...let me explain this roughly...
The reavers are moving...to somewhere, but there are many enemies on the way to it. However, being stupid, the reavers would not stop! Your objective is to protect the reaver en route to the destination, fighting off massive amount of enemies as tough as you.
You will have a choice between speed, range and splash in the beginning, each holding their own secret and powers.
After you choose your unit, you can choose between easy, intermediate and hard, each giving different challenges.
Now, the reaver moves! Kill to get upgrade, and upgrade to kill more! DO NOT DIE because you won't respawn.
3 units to choose, and up to 14 units you can use with in this game. To destroy 9 different types of units, and each providing different problems to you!
Map progress:
basic unit done
intermediate and hard mode finished
level 2 units complete save for speed

Perhaps you could have a Power unit(Dark Temp), too.
Sounds alot like Protect the Carrier...

EzDay2, I think what he meant by the three types are like this:
Speed, weak attack, no range. E.g. Zergling.
Range, average attack, average speed. E.g. Dragoon.
Splash, strong attack to take advantage of splash, slow speed. E.g. ... ... well, Siege Tank would be the best bet, but it takes time to Siege/Unsiege... to have a Reaver would be kinda mess up the whole concept of "Protect the Reaver". Maybe an Archon.
I was so making a map like this about a year and a half ago. It's obvious I didn't bother going far with it.

The reaver is MOVING, so you need to be quick.
So far most of the beta testers think it's cool.
You REALLY need to work on balancing out your game, because Stimmed Marine would fit both Speed and Range.
And that's just to name one thing...
What exactly is the reaver having to go through? A maze?

no, no. Marine's range is far too low compared to the Range Series.

Remember the the protoss campaign in Brood War? That's about it. Up, down, up, down, up, down...and finally down to the end.

*Note: I've seen Protect the Carrier, no it's totally different. You get only ONE unit, and you not fighting crappy junks defending a ultimately strong unit...The reaver is really weak...I havn't been able to complete EASY mode even with full house yet...think how hard this one is.

I don't see anything there that indicates a misunderstanding of his post.
DT's are WAY too slow. By the time they finish killing a unit, the Reaver'll be long gone. In fact, Reaver's probably the only land unit slower than a DT.
Just reading the first post, Im reminded of that Protect the Medic map where she goes through an arbitrary maze to the ship, where marines protect her while spending the minerals gained on powerups.
Well, how is this map different from protect the whatever maps?
The unit is different??? the units that spwans are diff, i guess that's the only change. I'm gonna dowload this ass soon as i can get on my newer comp. My old comp does not have space for this

Totally different. You don't get any power up. You get occational heal uncontrollable by you--it's by check point(whenever the reavers reaches a certain point you are rewarded with 100% hp)

The units is not different, cause I didn't base this map on any 'protect the ___'
Spawns are different? Nah. There is no spawns in this, muhahahha.
I have never played any 'Protect the _____' type maps, so don't expect them to be the same any way.
I know it is hard to promote this map, simply because of those crappy maps out there. But, I have brains, I have creativity. I admit I have crappy triggring skillz, but with my passion for SC and SE I believe I can make good maps.

wasn't that map by DaCoolOkane? did the medic follow a thin trail and get attacked by zerglings and such? I loved that map if its what you are talking about.
