Alright. I will get back to working on 3rd Party Patch, and even a new modified Staredit(much like SCXE, but better).

Ok. All Starcraft menus will be changed, as in more animated, bigger browse maps window in single player, possibly more options, etc.

The thing I'm currently working on is a new modified version of Staredit that is better than Starcraft X-tra Editors.

So far the only things different from SCXE are:

•True 0 sized units. You can now load maps with units placed on top of each other and not get an error, as well as place the units on top of each other.

•Can place EVERY unit for all 8 players.

More comming soon! I'm just starting to mod it, so just think about what is to come.

Sounds good biggrin.gif

I agree you should be able to add sprites... its a parin because i cant add doodads in SCXE and if i need sprites and i go into SF it makes the doodads messed up sad.gif .

If it has multiple modes like X-tra, make sure you can place add-ons the way you are supposed to be able to in that editor. I hate it in classic mode where add-ons are still placed like base-mode.

Nice DK! So far it sounds outstanding. Sprites would be nice, so you don't get the error either.

sounds awsome make it with starforge and scm draft type terrain too so you dont have to keep switching between em for square terrain.

Err... Staredit is limited, so stuff like being able to have sprites everywhere is impossible. Same with the switching between terrain types(isometric/square).

Can you stop it from removing sprites and just leaving that section of the map alone?

Question...

Would you be abble to place addons like buildings in the different modes?

Ok, there won't be billions of "modes" like in SCXE. I'm going to try and keep it more in one editor. It would take a bit of time to get everything in, and then understand how the editor works. I'm actually going to use a hex editor for some of it.

Ok, so I'm half-done editing units.dat, making it so you can place it anywhere, have 0 size, place all the units, etc. There's still a lot more to do.

I like my buildings to snap to the grid. Any possibility of making that optional?

i got have a few ideas. you no how staredit used to have the ability to make creep terrain with isometrical placement, add that! then make it where you can change their player's color like on sf or scmdraft2. then the final one is where you can resize your map! < - few ideas!

Changing colours and resizing the map in Staredit with a mod isn't possible... I still don't know how to edit the brushes yet though...
