THUG2 is a great game, i just rented it and played it. it comes with more options for you to make a personal skater and even more game modes. two main single player modes are Story Mode, in which you as your custom skater join the World Destruction Tour lead by Bam and Hawk. Eric Sparrow makes a repappernce in this game, but i am unsure if you are still the Skater from the last one. in story mode you travel the world, doing sick stunts and meeting speical guests and others. the other mode is Classical mode, think back to THPS1, thats right, you have to complete goals to move forward in Classical mode, and you have to grab theTHPS logos to increase your stats. there are two player modes, but i haven't played them. there is a create-a-mode in which your create-a-stuff is in, such as Create-a-skater, create-a-tag, in which you make your own Graffti tag. and much more. two cool features is the Graffti tag, which when off your board, pressing triangle, you spray the wall with your tag, another is a move called Sticker Slap, when you jump straight at a wall and press X, you slap a sticker on it and bounce back, this can sometimes cause walls to crumble.
One major problem i see with this game is that gaining Stats in story mode and making combos are much easier, the Sticker Slap can send you right back down the line you just skated, and the stat increase objectives are easy. but the story mode is fun, funny, and good. as always there are secret skaters, who are they? i'll let you find out on your own.

I might get it the first UD was good hopefully this is to but I rather spend my money reserveing Metroid prime 2.

I don't really care about Tony Hawk's Skateboarding games, When I first played the First one that came out, I thought it was boring, When later on part 2 came, Tried that, I thought it was boring as well, When part 3 came out, I thought it was a bit easier then the other ones, but still it was boring. The only part I like about the series is only the music. Rest is just boring.

the game has the best character customizing system with cool items out of all the games: a bull suit, horns, wings, no head, an alien head, a robot body, a peg leg, the list goes on forever.

THUG is great, i love playing it, i dont really understand the whole Team Bam thing in THUG2 is that from viva la bam? idk w/e o well im prolly gonna get it or something a lil later does it have any new features different from THUG1?
