That's right... BETA!

I'm assuming that most of you who are reading this post have already been familiar with my previous (Alpha and before) WoS2 project threads, so instead of tallying up what I HAVE done, I'll instead list what I have NOT done.
  • Help Beacon for Armory and Academy, and Overall Gameplay
  • Introduction
  • Mission Objectives
  • Zerg Tentacle Effects
  • Anti-Glitch: Liftoff
  • Anti-Glitch: P12 Air Units Drift
  • Terrain Mazes
  • Protoss Units
Instead of asking for beta testers, I'm just posting the map with the download.

Play with MANY other people (up to 5 in all).

By then, I'll be REALLY far with the triggers.

Right now I'm kinda wasting time experimenting with the 3-D Building thingy, to make the inside of the buildings look good... [hint]but I'll probably give it up for someone else to do.[/hint]

BTW, the map above is almost completely done trigger-wise. Anyone care to volunteer with some terrain work? I'm too lazy to think of anything "creative" beyond what I already have.

Also, I also need someone to help design a building interior look... as in 3D terrain walls.

003 fixed all bugs in the replay.

I'm assuming you meant:

1) The initial Ejecting from the Command Center
2) Brown ignoring to attack White


Golden-Fist, what do you mean by "lag"? I was playing it a few minutes ago with 4 other people. One had a bad connection and got kicked from game. The rest of the game went by seemingly fine... However I think I might need to set the Hyper Trigger to run for P12 instead though. (It was on All)

The game was like if the speed was on "Normal" speed (It wasn't set that way) it lagged!!!

And I think arcon is talking about when he died 4,000 times in a row

And im also talking about the mutas going into the 'in command center' area and killing me !!! lol that was so frustrating, i finally get away from the muta, and they just fly over to me (when im in the command center) and kills me... hehe cry.gif

ò.ô Have you actually tried Beta003? It added everything that weren't in 001, especially the most important ones: Map Boundaries! Besides, I posted it BEFORE your bug report tongue.gif

In fact, Beta003 is pretty damn close to completion.

I'm taking into account the many deaths of beta testers, so here's what I'll do:
  • Decrease cost of Medipacks to 1000 and Nanobots to 1200
  • Decrease cost of Health Points to 3000 and Hull Points to 3500
  • Decrease cost of Psi Points to 5000
  • Decrease cost of most Skill Points to 5000, 5000, 10000, 15000, 25000, like a Fibonacci Sequence, instead of the linear 5000, 10000, 15000, 20000, 25000
  • Start the game with the following message as an introduction: "Turn on Subtitles for in-game hints." I'll add Display Text messages with Always Display "OFF" whenever the player gets enough minerals for a new item, so veterans don't have to see them when they turn Subtitles off.
  • Change the entire Zerg layout to create more Bases, hopefully increasing production of units to kill
  • Change AI Script from Insane to Hard
  • Just add Spawn triggers!
  • Revise the General Help section to change it into a Tutorial
About the lag... when the game's completely finished I'll probably have to change the Hyper Triggers, which are set on All Players right now. I think it's prone to disasters, but I'm using the All Players section almost exclusively for the Help sections in each building (both Force1 and Players 1-5 are getting WAY cluttered).

Btw, I'm also actually working up storyline missions.

I think I'm going to have to use Zerg Expansion Difficult for the AI Script... Blehk

So here's the giveaway to the whole game:

There's an Overmind nested in the upper left corner of the map, which, taking account into everything else that are existing, is actually the center of an octopus-like being. You have to kill the onslaught of crazy Zergs while leveling up to Psi Point 10, at which point you will learn the Ability Assault. All the Zerg units except the Overmind can be killed with the Assault ability, albeit only one at a time. When you get to the Overmind, its Shell prevents you from casting Assault at all, so you have to kill it the old fashioned way: psi blades and bullets! However after the Overmind With Shell gets destroyed, an Overmind WITHOUT pops up in its place, INVINCIBLE. Assault said Overmind (without shell) to finally kill it.

Anyone volunteer to cook up a storyline from the text above?
