Story:
In a world of peace where robots,humans and monsters live in peace in the world of Gondan. Intill 1 robot, 1 human and 1 monster were creating a portal to a diffrerent world so that everyone could live diffrerently... But....
The portal leaded to a world of chaos which evil enemies lived in. And now chaos has come to destroy the world of Gondan. Now the 3 races must stop this from leading to chaos...

Gameplay:
You can be a monster,human and robot. Theres 4 classes for each race! With 3 attacks for each! theres the enemy kill for money system. And theres shops which you can buy potions and bombs and upgrade. Each race has its own village!
Enemies respawn. Maybe some mini games


I'm already 20% done which took along time (1 week and a half)

-Range, Dragoon/Reaver
-Ship, Scout/Corsair/Carrier
-Special, Arbiter/Templar

I'd be surprised if I got half of them right. tongue.gif

thats a pretty cool idea.. and if ur gonna add something like a minigame when the person dies u could make a small bound or something.. or u could just encorporate bounding into ur storyline like u have to escape someplace and censored.gif blows up and can only kill ur units and not the evil peoples

Whoa, the whole portal going to "hell" thing was done by IdSoftware about 10 years ago, and touched up on again just a few months ago wink.gif. (doom 3). But since its such a good idea, Ill give a thumbsup for you. Im excited to see how it goes. In a way it reminds of some kind of Phantasy Star Online/Doom 3 game, lol.

Seems like a good idea. I can wait 3 years just for this map.(btw I believe that any RPG maps that did not undergo a minimum 2 years of development are crappy)(perhaps the exception is those made by tux)

20% progress in about 2 weeks, seems like ull be done in a few months. I dont care how long you spend on that, that never matters, its how hard you spend on it. Effort is everything. If you put a lot of work into the next few weeks and finish it, Im sure itll be a hit. (Ive seen Quake 3 maps made in 6 hours that look pro level)

2 years... would SC still be PLAYED in 2 years?! (I think we all know the answer to that: duh biggrin.gif)

I don't know how long it took to get WoS2 to 20%... from whenever I started with the idea of Swapping Minerals to today (about 80-90 percent done), it doesn't feel THAT long... though it's obviously more than 2 weeks ermm.gif

I don't think RPG makers ought to rush their maps, but if they take TOO long, it demonstrates indecisiveness, lack of skills, and overall laziness.

Being a self-proclaimed "RPG Specialist" myself, I think RPG's, out of all the types of maps, isn't the hardest to make, but do take a long time. Decent RPG's would HAVE to have moving locations around the players, and spells would then have to be done for each player seperately due to the different locations... and that's why most RPG's only have so few human slots tongue.gif

-Archer, Ghost
-Mage, Medic
-Special, Tank/Siege Mode

Protoss:
-Warrior, Zealot
-Archer, Dragoon
-Mage Fighter, Archon
-Special, Reaver

And the mage fighter has weak spells but it can attack
There will be boats to get to diffrerent towns

Heres some mini games:

1.Avoiding the bombs that come at you
2.Protecting a town
3.Getting out of a maze with lazers with teleport you back to the begining
