The brave Marine, at one end, and the fearsome Goliath at the other,
Thrown into battle by the dreaded hand of fate...

Normal 125-HP, 12+1 Damage Goliath?

I can't remember the unit stats exactly but...

It'd have to be Goliath... though counting on you there's probably a glitch

Actualy, with me, it's more likely a technicality, or intentionaly presenting the information so that it's misinterpreted.

Just random trivia... (ignore this if you wish; it makes no difference on who wins)
Goliath: 125 HP, 12 damage, 20 air damage, 0 armor - Has slightly better range
Marine: 40 HP, 6 damage, 6 air damage, 0 armor - Fires slightly faster

this isnt even a contest, i mean the first unit ur able to make to fight with vs a stronger and faster unit Gol wins but here are some catches

it could be raynor (rine hero) vs schezar (gol hero) - Gol

above plus raynor could have stims which could help - Rine

1 could be hero vs basic - Whichever hero

and y would u do this for no reason at all?

If we assume Marine and Goliath are both basic...

Marine fires faster, BUT it does 6 damage.

125/6, round up, to get 21. 21 Shots!

Mean while, after 4 hits of 12 damage from the Goliath, the Marine already gets killed.

If the Marine goes on Stim to fire a LITTLE faster, he's throwing away 10 HP, meaning it'd only take THREE hits from the Goliath to kill him. THREE!!

Technicality... probably when the Goliath wittles down the Marine to like 4 HP a Queen pops up and Broodlings the Goliath!

Then nobody wins because the Zergs have taken over the universe...

Keep in mind the cost of a Goliath (100/50) is definately worth at least 3 Marines (50/0). In terms of kill score, you would have 4 Marines (100 each) for each Goliath (400 each). Factor in Stimpacks, and we have a winner.

You know what? None of you win any minerals.
High, I already said that unit stats has nothing to do with it...

NEITHER WINS.
I never said the Goliath has a pilot.
I never said the Marine has a Powerd Armor Suit.
So, while the Goliath sits there doing nothing, and eventualy corroding into nothing(it will happen eventualy, so don't say "it's not broken, it wins")...
The Marine suffocates.

Last but not least, Moose gets a 50% prize, though I don't think he cares.
Why?
Because he was the first person to state that the Marine COULD win, his logic, and why, not just "Goliath wins, it has better stats" or "Goliath wins for no reason".

scientifically youd suffocate faster than you rust. it takes months and years for rusting to occur. how would you even know if the goliath will rust. maybe its hard plastic.

urmom: That is EXACTLY what I said. But, as I ALSO said, the Goliath WOULD, eventualy corrode, rust, and be gone, and so will eventualy lose.
