I'm pretty sure that SF corrupted your map. ALWAYS Keep a backup of your map when using SF, becuase it extremly buggy. It's a shame we can't frix any of those bugs cry.gif.

I would test your map but I can't without my SC-CD, sorry.

Chances are you placed a building slightly off the edge of the map. Try deleting all of the buildings on the map edges and see if it fixes your problem.

or try to remove all the units that you placed in starforge and place them in scm draft 2. if you placed sprites remove a few because too many will crash starcraft.

IT depends WHAT sprites you place, not how many.

Stop smkoing Rexy. Starforge is 99% bug-free.

Answer:

1. Like Nozomu said, check map edges
2. What SF version are you using?

Check map edges like Nozomo said. Also, make sure to back up your map. Sometimes Starforge can mess with your computer, I think that your problem is in the unit placement. To test this get a backup of your map and delete all units. Run the map and see if it crashes, if it does not then you know that your error is in the unit layer.

I downloaded it from starcraftsector.com

Download the one hosted on SEN, as it's guaranteed to be the latest version. With any other site you don't know what you're getting.

There is a sprite limit. I think it's 250 or something. Placing units in the side crashes SC? In my floating tank test map I had about 10 cc's off to the side and it has never crashed. I'll take a look at it and see. Most problems with SF2 are are accidental stacking or sprite problems.

u probably put down really gay units that crash map like gay sprites and stuff..

I have no clue what is wrong with this map. There are no units placed off it, nothing wrong with player settings, nothing wrong with strings, nothing wrong with triggers, nothing wrong with locations, nothing wrong with forces(though you may want to uncheck "Random Start Location")...

Oh and SCXE IS Staredit. SCXE is not a seperate editor.

Isnt "staredit" the one that came with the game (i know that any editor that isnt sf or scmd is SE but still...)

You mean Starcraft Campaign Editor
The original staredit was for making your own campaign.
How hilarious!

SCXE is a modded version of Staredit. Nothing is changed much in it.

It is 2048. You can only preplace 256 sprites in an editor but you can remove that limitation.

It's in Starforge under like Scenario>Settings or something.

In starforge under Tools (I think)>Options you can set ALL the limits to 65535.

It doesn't matter. THe Starcraft game engine will delete extraneous units beyond the true limits.

Upgrades, conditions, actions, sprites, and units I knew, I was asking for the briefing or trigger limit. And I know there is no unlimited trigger limit, becuase I have had SCXE tell me it could not copy a trigger (No comment). Thats why I was wondering WHAT the LIMIT was.
