winamp
preferences
plug-ins
nullsoft disk writer plugin
then u run any song and let it play (u wont hear it - it will write)

---------------
Download Winamp - press Ctrl P select output make a note of output plug in and select Nullsoft disk writer plug in and press configure - select where you want to save wav file press close then select file you want to convert and press play - you won't hear anything but winamp will convert mp3 to wav - once complete press Ctrl P and reselect original plug in and configure then close.
You should now find you have wav file.

I got mine free off of Download.com. Man, I just converted a 20mb WAV song into 2.5mb, and it has almost the same quality, I can barely tell the diff! Yeeeee.

Um...No. There IS a program that does this in the DLDB(Downloads DataBase).
Decode Pro.
I can't get in to it right now, for some reason. Go and check!

Go to this great site:
Here. Has Mp3, WMA, OGG, and WAV converters. The site has about three different programs that do the same thing: Convert those sounds formats into the other format you choose. Great programs, but you have to use trial versions.

Aight, here's the link for Decode Pro. This program is a MUST for music on RPGs.

I can't get my tags working, so I'll just post the URL.

Nah, just use Sound Recorder and do it manually.

Is there a downloadable program that converts Midi sounds to Wav sounds?

[/Off Topic...]

Anyway I thought the music I was trying to convert was MP3 but it was a midi...

I don't belive it at all. Windows comes with a Sound Recorder. Period. Do a search in "All files and folders" for it.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Urmom(U) on 2004-10-21 at 19:00:05
there is ABSOLUTELY no sound recorder on my microsoft windows XP. i just did a search for it and included hidden files and everything and there was nothing found.

ill post it i guess.
