is there a way to fix the trigger lag?

What trigger lag? Show us your trigger...and if you mean wait blocks, look in one of the many threads about them and how to fix them.

Nope triggers don't cause lag, the effect of your triggers might however.

so i will just tell u the trigger stuff

Trigger
Conditions:
¤ Always
Actions:
¤ Modify resources for Current player: Add 1 Vespene Gas.
¤ Wait for 5000 milliseconds.
¤ Preserve Trigger
¤ Comment: Mana

Then everyone other trigger will have to wait 5000 seconds becuase that one is delaying all of the other triggers.

i did not fully understand that but i kinda did but it does not wait 5000 milliseconds it waits like 15000 milliseconds instead

Then other wait triggers firing at the same time are delaying it.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Menehunes on 2004-10-20 at 19:57:32
but there are only 2 more wait triggers going on to show the boards
Report, edit, etc...Posted by RexyRex on 2004-10-20 at 20:03:02
How long are the waits?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Menehunes on 2004-10-20 at 20:08:27
3000 milliseconds
Report, edit, etc...Posted by RexyRex on 2004-10-20 at 20:23:56
Each wait ? How many 3000 ms waits are there?

ADDITION: Bye for today all.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Menehunes on 2004-10-20 at 20:24:06
there are only 2 and they are both 3000 milliseconds
Report, edit, etc...Posted by greenreaper on 2004-10-20 at 20:24:51
OKay basically, the trigger that has a wiat blocks all the other triggers with waits. That's why you shouldn' make 2 triggers fire at the same time with waits... so try making it so that there's only 1 wiat trigger activated at one time.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Menehunes on 2004-10-20 at 20:31:20
well i cant do that for these because they both need to be preserved or unless i can move how you keep track of levels

ok nvm i found out a way that can do it
Report, edit, etc...Posted by RexyRex on 2004-10-21 at 18:43:21
If you have two 3000 waits then it's delaying the wait by 6000 milli, so thats where your problem is.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by BeeR_KeG on 2004-10-21 at 18:45:28
1 single wait will cause a wait or delay for every single trigger running.

BTW:Menehunes I like your avatar.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by RexyRex on 2004-10-21 at 18:48:02
Only if the waits are firing at the same time.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Urmom(U) on 2004-10-21 at 19:02:18
do you have a lot of units in an area? ive played lotr maps that are extremely laggy because there are like 1000 units in a big battle
Report, edit, etc...Posted by RexyRex on 2004-10-21 at 20:31:09
It's a trigger lag not a game lag.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2004-10-21 at 20:39:37
Do you have hyper triggers? If you don't then preserve wait triggers will lag by one or two extra seconds each time they fire.
