Grr i still cant dl SCXE but is there any way i can cloak a bunker, ghost, marine, bat etc? and how do u use junk yard dog properly cause i "stole" it off a map/

You can save the triggers from another map and import them i suppose.

Junkyard dog needs to be ran by a computer player (the one with the units to run around) The location you select are the units that will be effected by it at the time you run the trigger.

Just use starforge.

To use it properly.
IT CAN BE ONLY USED FOR COMPUTERS!

Baiscly just make a location.
And have player:whatever
condtion: whatever
action:Run AI Script
and choose:junk yard dog
Then choose location:WHATEVER!
then optionaly preserve the trigger and your done!
It should make the units just walk around like idiots.

but all the maps i want to take the cloak stuff off of is protected and the junk yard dog i dont really no wut it to does like... wut do the comp do when u set it on them?

ADDITION: oo does it work on buildings?

It makes them just walk around and be weird. If you preserve it that is.
I dont think they cant attack when they have the junk yard dog AI running on them when preseved.
When you dont preserve it. The unit or units will just walk somewhere in the location and stop.
And no it dose not work on buildings

how can u make me a trigger? i cant dl anything of the net unless its bnet but if u can get it to me all i really want is since i have a cloak marine alrdy so ill i really need is a cloaked tank, bunker, ghost, and is there anything else u can cloak....

ok first off i suggest that you go and read some tutorials go into the old tutorials thing though, a firewall may interfere with your downloads i dont know your settings, and yes you can be given triggers over bnet but it can easier and more beneficial for you to make and understand them yourself, and to make hp blue and give units weird wireframes just change the hp to a certain amount im not sure what it is sorry.

I think he was aking if you could cloak buildings, not use the junk yard dog trigger on them.

Anyway, you can cloak some buildings by disabling them, but not all of them. I think shadowbrood made a map that showed which ones would work and which ones would crash.

The answer to how to cloak a marine etc. is use the disable doodad trigger and disable that unit. You will need SCXE or StarForge, but are you on a mac?

What I know works with disabling,
Bunker, Marine, Ghost, Firebat, Possibly Ghost and Kerrigen.

What doesn't Work:
Only tried command centre before.

To Rexyrex: Yes, he does have a Mac Platform.

shadowbrood's cloak test map is crap. He only displays maybe 1/10 of the units that can actually be cloaked. Here's a list I've made:

Did you by chance use sprite units then disable them or did you make a unit appear on the map then disable it?
Becuase if you make a sprite and disable it I'm almost 100% sure that it has different effect then making a unit and disabling with a trigger.

If you use a Mac, then Emerald is not your best bet. It wont let you disable units aside from doodads. Use StarFire Edit instead which is basically X-Tra for Mac. I submitted it and it is in the Download section.

I have Emerald for OS X if you really need it, but StarFire is the best Mac editor.

I just thought I'd mention that Junkyard Dog and preserve trigger will make a missile turret go psychotic.

When disabling units, in my experience, it will crash if see a science vessel being disabled, but it will be fine afterwards. It makes a rock sprite above it.

Yeah, use StarFire, I haven't been able to find Emerald for Mac anymore anyways, unless it's right here at SEN.

Use starforge and hightlight a unit and press enter...when that happend look for a box next to invincible and click it then click ok...that will do all the triggering for you even though it doesnt show in the triggering.

SCXE doesn't have a Mac version? I thought it did, and even if it doesn't why won't the regular one work? I thought that Suicidal_Insanity worked out all of the compatability bugs.

Are you sure high templars work? I've tested it and it crashes every single censored.gif ing time...
