1) How do you make it be able to count the deaths of a certian unit at a certain location. (like on minitown d the training)

2) How can I make elevated terrian by using square tiles? When i make the elevated terrian, it is just flat on the ground and you cant just walk over it.

3) I dont understand the triggers on the perfect kill counter, can someone explain it, and dumb it down a bit.

4) More will come most so check back and forth please smile.gif

1.
Its rather difficult to actually work out the death of a unit at a set location, because it only records the death of units in a general sense.

Best hope would be to have computers, for certain areas, and then you know that it must be those areas, and as long as its rare for the Humans to kill at both you know when to work it out.

2.
Do you mean High Dirt that you can reach? Including the Tiles you get in normal terrain. SCMDraft 2 can place both normally, else you can put it in by hand, going through the squares to get the right cliff faces.

3.
If you don't understand it, don't try and use it.

2) You have to put a border around it that you can't walk accross. Like something that you can't stand on.

For question one, I haven't played minitown d the training, although I would make the folowing triggers:

Condistions:
where player X commands at most (any number - you decide) of unit(s) at, for example, death = points. Player X kills is at most 4000 (the exact number of points you get for killing an infested terran)

Actions:
(You have to put something in this part of the trigger - what you put here is up to you.) Modify resource for Player X: add 5 minerals.

As for question two, I would make daimond shape elevated terrain. and then, if a player needs to bring a land unit to the elevated terrain, I would use square terran. (Note: make sure you have completely made a pathway from the elevated terran to lower terran, and if you don't, well I think you know what could happen.

Ok Scratch the above,

All i need to know how to do is how to make it so that the traning portion of the map lets it make me give x amt of minnerals per x amt of kill of x unit. and not have to make it like player x kills 1 unit. award 2 minnerals. player x kills 2 units award 2 minnerals and so on, and preserving doesnt work.

someone please help...

EDIT: Oh, I just saw your "Ignore the Above" post. I'll keep the original part of this post in case you want to look at it though.

To find money for kills, there's many, many ways to do it.
First, is the one you said, second, you can have it give minerals, and subtract score, whenever player X has a certain score(i.e., Zergling is 50, so if Player 1 has 50 Kill POINTS(not just Kill Score), then subtract 50, add minerals) which can be extremely buggy, or you can have it so that when P1 has more kills than Computer 1, then it creates a unit for Computer 1, the Computer kills it, and the player gains minerals, and this keeps happening until they're even, and there's another I forgot though.

Okay, I don't know whether you mean tracking kills at location, or merely respawning units, so...
To Respawn Units

Player: Computer
Conditions: Computer brings exactly 0 Enemy to location "Train 1"
Actions: Create 5 enemy at location "Train 1"
Actions: Preserve Trigger

To Track Kills At Location
I'm too lazy to type these triggers out at the moment, so ignore this part.

2_
If you make elevated terrain, then it does place elevated terrain.
You can't see up it if you're on low terrain and are a ground unit, you miss half your shots shooting up there.

To stop players from walking onto it, place a barrier around it.
To make it look like you placed it with Staredit instead of Strarforge/SCMDraft/2, you'll have to find the individual tiles for the cliff wall and place them, which takes a lot of time.

Err... show me the thread that says it, and I'll try to simplify it for you happy.gif

CONDITIONS:
Current player kills score is at least X

ACTIONS:
Set score for current player to 0
Add X minerals
Preserve Trigger

Tweak it so it works better thats just the core stuff.

lol... I think that if someone doesn't understand something they should try to learn how to use it, unless it is giving them unessary stress...

considering that his skill level is beginner and the questions he is asking trying to learn the "perfect kill counter" would be overwelming for a person of his skill level and he should learn other things first rather than headache about the really complex stuff.

Most simply the "Perfect kill score triggers" evens out the amount of kills every time a player kills a unit. It does this by checking who has the "most" kills and then giving all the other players one kill and the player who had the most the reward (minerals or whatever).

Well I dont know if i can classify myself as a average yet, i know alot of the trigs, but not really all of them. I can make good maps but i get stuck in certain areas, like these ones, i just need to meet someone at my school or somtihn that makes maps real good and they can sit down and teach me or somthin one day...

what do you suggest bolt? what should i try to do right now?
