I have a few questions about the 'flip sprite' option in SCMDraft2. Does the sprite actually remain flipped in the game? This could be very useful. Also, If a player owns a sprite and they ar enot in the game, is the sprite still there? What is the sprite limit on StarCraft?

yes the flip stays during the game. i think the sprites stay in the game too if the player isnt there and the limit is 256 but i think you can change that.

Yes you can change the limit. The hard-code sprite limit is 2048.

But you have to remember that all the regular stuff in SC such as units and attacks are also going to take up sprites. The 255 sprite limit in StarEdit was just so that there would be enough leftover for regular use.

The sprite/unit limit are one. It is 1700. When the limit is reached, no units can be created.

Oh and I've just tried out the so called "sprite flipping" for myself. No, it does not show up as flipped in game, therefore it is useless. There is no such thing as a sprite-flip showing in Starcraft.

Well has anyone talked to Suicidal_Insanity to ask him about this, and why he even put it in the program in the first place if it doesn't do anything. Flipping sprites, and maybe even units could be so useful, but it is so far away...

Fanta your reason makes absolutely no sense, why would Suicidal_Insanity program it to effect all sprites when he only wants it to work for 2? Someone should get Suicidal in on this...

hey, there was an problem and the creator of the program provided a way of fixing it, I dont see why we should question this any further.

I think the option is probly left over from ealier version. I know at least with Starforge the doodads were mirred when it showed up in the editor. He may of made the flip option because not all of the sprites can be flipped.

PS. You could of tested this yourself with a good 1 minute of work (less time than it took us to reply). I might suspect unit sprites might be able to be flipped but im not going to test it cause i don't care lol.
